Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

@goodvibezz7 @rosiem714 There was a form that I did not do and it said initiated, and then a few days after I submitted, it said no to do items, so that might mean that you did not send something or they have not processed it yet.

Anyone applied for PAM here?

@SaifoSehamy is a terrorist btw

I should probably start working on my Financial Aid stuff now, even though I do not qualify for anthing ://

@davidwaloo is there more stuff to complete? I thought its due in January.

I have my CAAAN interview on Tuesday. Anyone advice or anything I should prep prior for this from anyone who has had their interview?

@crossovercuber I had mine last week, I had a middle aged woman who used to go to the school, she was really nice and we just talked for about an hour in a Starbucks. She asked me why I wanted to go to Cornell, my interests, favorite subjects, what I want to do, but in a very casual, conversational format. Then she asked me if there was anything that I wanted the admissions officers to know and if I had any questions about the school.

@ayylmao1 thanks for the info, mine is over Skype so that is making me a little less nervous

@crossovercuber my interviewer wanted me to ask her questions about Cornell the entire time and then at the end she asked if there was anything I wanted admissions to know

@Tryharding how long was your interview? apparently mine is gonna be approx 30 mins

At the ILR RD webinar today, the director said ILR ED decisions will be announced the evening of Dec. 10.

@crossovercuber mine was about an hour

My interview was also very casual. He asked about my interests and stuff, but he mostly wanted me to ask the questions, which kinda threw me off since I knew almost everything I wanted to about ILR, Cornell, and Ithaca. But I just made some up to keep the conversation flowing. He was a very nice guy, and extremely successful. It went well and lasted about 45 minutes. What he said he had to report back was essentially if the student understood Cornell. So, sound like you know what you’re talking about and sound excited about it, ect.

On Twitter Cornell said ED decisions for CALS would be posted Dec 10 and now we have confirmation that ILR decisions will also be posted Dec 10 so I think it is fairly safe to say that all Cornell ED decisions will posted Dec 10…that’s one of the earliest ED/EA decision dates…

Did anyone receive interview calls from the College of Human Ecology too?

@Aggarwala I applied to HumEc and got an interview with an alum from HumEc

How long back was that?

I mean how many days between your application and the interview call?

I applied ED to the GPHS major but have not heard back yet except the regular acknowledgement emails

@Aggarwala It does based of alumni in your area. You may still get one if an alumni reaches out but it’s nearing the admissions announcement. If you don’t get one it won’t reflect your decision in the end.
