Cornell RD Class of 2030 Results Survey:
This form is for tracking decision results, so it’s all centralized for future students. If you could fill this out once you get your decision, that would be very appreciated!
You can see all other people’s individual responses in the links above, along with overall form statistics (such as what percent got accepted).
daughter waitlisted and she could not access that link
Daughter was accepted and could access the map with the walking tour from 2024.
Hey guys, recently got a transfer option for Cornell CALS, which is incredibly cool, especially given that the other two options besides acceptance would be a sad and depressing waitlist or a flat-out rejection. I know that they say it’s not guaranteed; however, is it extremely likely if you fulfill the requirements and maintain good academic standing? That appears to be the consensus on Reddit and other forums, but I want to confirm.
This is good news to me, given how extremely unlikely I was to get anything but a rejection, but I don’t want to get too ahead of myself just yet
My 24 Child got the transfer option and successfully transferred this year to Cornell. Each school has different requirements regarding GPA etc. They will probably have an information session for you to attend to go over everything. While not “guaranteed,” I believe TO students who meet the requirements and follow through have a high rate of success. Be sure to figure out early how to take all of the required classes - you could even take some this summer at a community college, and make sure you choose a school where you would be happy to stay if the transfer doesn’t work out. Next spring you will need to complete a form sending your transcript, an updated essay about why you want to transfer (my child just updated their original essay from first application) and a school report that shows you are in good standing with your current institution. It was pretty simple, not a reapplication, and I think my child got an acceptance in early April, 3-4 weeks after everything was submitted in March.
My son was accepted and found the page to register for admitted students day without an issue so we are registered and ready to go.
Does anyone know when the earliest waitlist movement was for CALS? I heard it the waitlist stayed open pretty late last year (august)
Last year my daughter received Waitlist updates about every six weeks letting her know that it was still being reviewed and to remove herself if she was no longer interested in being considered. Her final Waitlist update (option to transfer as a sophomore) came a week before she moved into the school she is currently attending.
