Cornell Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

Has anyone got the pin?

I did the pin and I still don’t have a pin. I think I got my decision already a few week ago but I never got a email. do you contact admission of the wchool about this. Please lwt me know guys

Gonna call today if i dont get a decision, I have two deadlines next week that I wouldnt want to miss

PIN trick says I’ll be getting a decision tomorrow. Has anyone in Civil Engineering gotten a decision? I haven’t received anything from a department head, so I’m expecting a negative response.

Been following this thread for a while- I haven’t heard anything from SHA yet. @simonlee7 let me know what they say

@Aran888888 I’m a Civil Engineering applicant with no decision yet. Also pin trick did not work for me. Good luck tomorrow!

I called Dyson today. They said they won’t be sending decision untill mid June or late June. So is there anyone who has heard back from Dyson yet?

Decisions for CALS waitlist will be released after June 19th, good luck!

@actperfectgoal Congrats!

Any tips that you could dish out regarding essays?

@DreamingKevin did you call or email them?

@Aran888888 so today was your decision for civil engineering, how did it go?

Denied, I’m not surprised.

Man that just cold. Your stats are amazing, I can’t fathom how you didn’t get in. I wish you the best in life. We all making it to the top either way @Aran888888

It’s alright. They followed up-apparently the courses I have taken at Clarkson didn’t fulfill the admissions requirements for a sophomore, so they asked that I apply next year. Is that a generic follow-up(civil engineering department sent it)?

Thank you for the kind wishes, you as well! We’ll all get there in the end, the only difference is how.

Can anyone explain how to do the pin trick please? I searched for keyword “pin trick” in this discussion but couldn’t find anything.

So I was finally able to find the trick in a previous reply by @Transfer1013 :
“Go on this link: https://decision.applyyourself.com/fl_login.aspx?id=cornellu
And click on “Forgot Pin or Password?”, then type in your email address. If it comes up pin cannot be found, a decision hasn’t been made for you yet. Otherwise an email will be sent to you with your pin and how to set your password for tomorrow morning.”

I just copied and pasted the reply to here for anyone who’s been wondering how to do the trick.

I’m applying for transfer to Cornell engineering as a rising junior. The trick didn’t work for me so I guess I’ll just have to wait patiently. And good luck everyone!

@MartianRover welcome to the club of engineers, what major you going for. Me, you, and @DBaf20 are waiting too for our decisions. Just watch the NBA finals in the meantime.
