Cornell Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

My D is HuanEc TO and hasn’t heard anything yet either.

It’s a good idea talking about relevant stuff. I am already accepted to Dyson, but I also applied to McDonough (still no decision received). I live in Northern Virginia which is very close to Georgetown and I’m not sure which school to choose if Georgetown accepts me?! People have different views, I really wanna know your reflections on this matter.

applied to CAS non-to still no decision

Yup I’m still waiting @aqaqseattle

As crazy as it might sound, for me it’s the cold and campus culture. I live in a midwest state where it’s colder than Ithaca and love it. Obv, there are many other things but I find that one the most interesting reason.

Non-TO ILR rejected as a soph transfer with high 3.8 at a T20 for those in future cycles looking for stats. Good luck to everyone still waiting, I have a feeling if you are non-TO and ILR, you should be getting good news soon!

@bvbchamps when did you get your decision? This morning?

I’m new to this thread and was wondering if anyone who got a TO from Dyson got their decisions yet. They said mid-April in their emails but I still haven’t heard anything and kinda starting to get worried

I think Dyson takes a while longer because of the variety of specific concentrations within AEM…

@adventurescholar but I got a transfer option so I didn’t write any essays or anything

@PBMAX1 I believe it was posted at 10am, only had the chance to check my portal this afternoon due to finals

@bvbchamps thanx and good luck! You’ll get in somewhere good!

Did those of you who received decisions last week and this week first get an email from Cornell with a link, telling you that a decision was ready? Or did you just check because you had done the PIN trick and knew to check? My daughter hasn’t gotten an email about a decision BUT she never got an email “in early April” telling her how to check her application status. She only knew to do that from checking this thread. Wondering if maybe she isn’t getting Cornell emails at all or if she is just in a future wave. She is a non-TO CAS applicant and has not tried the PIN trick.

I’m wondering the same thing?

I received an email with a link last week, and I also got an email in early April. Sounds like there is some issue if she never received an email in early April. I also got an email right after I applied saying the application had been received. I would suggest you reach out to admissions.

The email will come at 10am when your decision is ready. Mine went to my spam folder. Just keep an eye on the junk folder.

@Bostonmomma yes, we received an email at 10:01am today from admissions@cornell.edu, which says “You are now able to view your fall 2019 transfer admission decision online.”, with the PIN and a set password hyperlink. Once password is set we can view the decision letter. Same as @zwetsch , that email also went to Spam folder.

Thanks - she checked spam and it’s not there. Weird because she did get 2 emails from Cornell in mid-March after the application was submitted, but never got an email telling her how to check her application status. She doesn’t want to try the PIN trick and doesn’t want to contact Admissions. I guess she will just wait for hopefully good news!

I am a non-TO CAS applicant, and I also didn’t receive the email from Cornell in early April (nothing showed up in my spam either). I wasn’t sure what to think of it so I never contacted anyone from admissions.

were there any non-TO CAS applicants who were rejected today? I feel like it was mostly Dyson today
