Does anyone know whether accepted non-TO ILR applicants get a call from Ian before decisions come out? Couldn’t find a conclusive answer in threads from past years.
@sleeplessincali why do you suspect that mostly Dyson got decisions yesterday? I don’t think I saw anyone applying to Dyson post a decision and way more CAS people told of their decisions. So I think your statement is flipped
@singer99 you’re probably right, i was just scrolling through half brain dead from a mid-term so I may have made a mistake. But by what you saw it was mostly CAS applicants who posted their decision?
@bigred2k19 I’m fairly confident he only calls TOs who got in but even that is iffy. People get in with or without a call even as a TO but as a non-TO it doesn’t seem like he’ll call
I haven’t gotten a rejection yet and I’m a non-TO CAS applicant. Should i be optimistic about the next couple of weeks ( not trying to be offensive to anyone who has already received a rejection, to be honest I didn’t think I’d make it this far so now i know nothing about what it means to not have received an answer yet)
im a non-GT SHA applicant and it seems like non-GT SHA applicants got accepted this week. should i be worried?
All we can do is speculate and read old threads but in the end of the day it is out of all of our hands. Nothing we can change at this point
I have a theory as to why acceptances seem to be more abundant for non-TOs on later dates(looking at past threads)/why it seems the acceptances these last two weeks have been mainly TOs. I have no proof of this, it’s simply speculation/a theory(I genuinely hope no one gets upset at me for this. It’s not my intention to be rude or disheartening, just want to share a thought), but from a logical standpoint it seems that because there are a limited number of spots available for transfers it would make sense for TO acceptances to go out first, since they’ve been guarenteed a spot. Then, after Cornell has gotten responses from accepted TOs, whether that be saying they’ll be attending or that they’ve decided to go elsewhere, admissions has a better sense of how many spots they have available and can tailor remaining non-TO decisions based on that. This way, they avoid accepting too many people and not having enough funding/room, but also make sure they can accept as many as possible. Again, just a theory. No proof. (Sorry this got lengthy, I wanted to be as clear as possible to avoid misunderstandings and accidentally offending people)
Hey everyone! I haven’t received a decision yet, but when I am on my portal and go to add supplementary materials, there is an option called “waitlist correspondence.” Is this option there for everyone still waiting to hear back, or does this mean that I have been waitlisted? Thanks!
It’s on everyone
Hey guys, non-TO CAS applicant here, I have lowkey started checking out this thread lately bc I am super nervous… I had no idea decisions were already being handed out and I haven’t heard anything yet. BUT I did call the Cornell about a month ago and they said I’d hear a decision on the 1st. It’s the 1st and no news, are decisions rolled out every day? Thanks and good luck to all you ambitious people!
Hey everyone! Anyone applying to Dyson got decisions from Cornell? I’m new here and haven’t heard anything from Cornell since submitted the midterm report…thanks)
@betaclimber It seems that they are coming out each Tuesday. However, that could change but that is how it has been so far, to my understanding.
@alexandriaOG thanks, I guess I should just hope for the best and prepare for the worst
nothing today
@IndirectProofs It’s all out today?
Sorry I was using my phone when I wrote that. I meant that everyone has the waitlist correspondence category for uploading.
My anxiety attack is over with Cornell, got my acceptance letter from Columbia University today!!! Good Luck to everyone. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get accepted, is not the end of the road. We all take different paths in life but its all on how you finish. #AnyThingIsPossible
@Punisher1 Big congrats!
@alexandriaOG I Almost had a heart attack waiting for Cornell to release their decisions. I was not expecting to get into Columbia.
