I’m in the same boat @M_51222 @Firstofmany - submitted my Midterm report 3/29, haven’t heard back yet. I called the CALS admissions office and they said we should hear back within the next two weeks. They read the applications according to major, and within the major they are read randomly. Guess we were just unlucky and at the end of the pile.
@bujolover25 Wait do you mean that they read them by school or by major in each school? also are you a TO?
@grundeis You misread my comment. I did not say they accepted 100 TO’s. According to another thread, last year they gave 500-600 TO’s out to those who applied for regular decision class '22. This year, they supposedly have only given out 100 to '23.
Where did you get that info @bhdot27
A question to the accepted colleagues. The acceptance letter stated that “very soon, you will receive a welcome packet that contains an official letter of admissions and other info…”. Has any of you received the welcome packet?
@M_51222 Each school has a separate admissions committee, so for CALS, they are read by major. And yes, I’m a TO for CALS
Anyone’s transfer transcript changed from initiated to ordered since tuesday?
No, looks like we will have to wait until Tuesday after all. I just want to know at this point so I can get on with my life lol
Are any other non-TO CAS people super optimistic right now? I know i shouldn’t be because it’s probably gonna be a rejection, but I kind of am?
I am a non TO CAS applicant but I’m not optimistic after getting my first rejection yesterday.
@sleeplessincali I just realized I never responded to your comment, even though you may have had it answered by now. Dyson did not seem to roll out any decisions in this sample size of the thread on Tuesday and the majority of kids posting decisions this week were applying to CAS
Hey, guys! I’m a bit confused. Have people received a decision yet? Or when they are released, or is it week by week
@datbulmir Some students have already received decisions both acceptances and rejections in no particular order. As of two Tuesdays ago the rolling admissions started. It seems to be every Tuesday new ones get informed. I am also still waiting for a response.
@sleeplessincali I am feeling optimistic as a non-to CAS rn, but based on the last recent comments they just could not have gotten to the bio majors yet. So I’m not really sure what to think
MY CORNELL FINANCIAL AID SAYS ORDERED.
crossing my fingers that this means something good
@rish68 are you non-to CAS? major? congrats! hopefully the pin trick holds true
@betaclimber im a SHA applicant!
@rish68 good for you just for reference, when did you submit your final app and financial aid stuff? thanks
@betaclimber I just tried the pin trick and it didn’t work I applied to Cornell as a freshman applicant before so hopefully that’s the reason it didn’t work
I submitted final app and financial aid stuff the day it was due lol. I’m a procrastinator
