Rejected from UChicago, Swarthmore, UCLA, Williams, Northwestern and waitlisted at UCSB. I got into Cornell via Diversity Letter— don’t let other college decisions change your hopes. They’re truly independent of one another and each decision is made based on specific needs that that school must fill— ethnic quota, extracurricular/talent/skill shortages, etc.
Which is better major- Computer Science in L&S or Computer Science/Engineering in College of Engineering?
Pl. guide me.
It all depends. Basically, the majors themselves have no difference, but there is difference in the other requirements you have to fulfill for each of the schools.
@stanford2022 Computer Science in CAS (I assumed you mistyped CAS) will be better if you are interested in doing further studies and possibly going into research because this major will be more theoretical.
Computer Science/Engineering in College of Engineering will be better if you are interested in entering the job market after graduating because this major will incline toward the applications of computer science.

@Winky1 same. I don’t think that this is any indication. Every applicant will be able to access this because everyone will use this to see their acceptance or rejection
