@KoolKollegeKidz I think so. I didn’t have to fill out any parent permission stuff because I’ll be 18 by the time it rolls around. But I think you’re good. You should email Shavonna Hinton just to make sure though

@LondonVall where’d you get that registration date from? I don’t remember seeing it in the email or mail.
@KANIMBA01 honestly, i think your stats are too low for such a competitive school where even a perfect score isnt guaranteed admission
@halfdust It was the only deadline I saw in the email I got. The email I got gave information about Spring Engineering Diversity Hosting, Spring Women in Engineering, Diversity Hosting, and Cornell Days. And it mentions that spots fill up fast and that the deadline to register is the 23rd. I registered and emailed Mrs. Hinton and she told me that the deadline for confirming and sending travel arrangements was the 30th. I thought the 23 was kind of soon especially since letters were sent out only on the 15, but that’s what it said
Registration for Cornell Days doesn’t open until April 2, but for diversity hosting it said this:
“EDHW is a space-limited program that will fill up quickly–it is critical that you register as soon as possible. Registration will close on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 5 p.m. EDT”
@LondonVall Mine only mentioned Diversity Hosting and Cornell Days, and it didn’t have a date. Maybe yours had one because of engineering? Not too sure, but also not very worried because I wasn’t gonna do Diversity Hosting anyway. But thanks for letting me know!

@KoolKollegeKidz I had emailed her to let her know that I would not be accepting Cornell’s offer to pay for my travel and to let her know that I would have to leave early on the last day to head to another Admitted Students Weekend, just so you have some background about the email. But this is is:
“Thanks for reaching out. If you will be purchasing your own tickets, you will need to arrive on Cornell’s campus on Thursday April 19th by 4:30PM and for your departure, you can leave as early as you’d like on Saturday the 21st. Please confirm your travel plans by March 30th and forward the information on to me so we can coordinate transportation for you to and from the airport.”

@KANIMBA01 honestly it depends on where you are from and what race you are, if you are Asian or white, I do not like your chances at all. Hope that helps
@KANIMBA01 Remember that none of us are part of the admissions team (as far as you know…) And they are the only ones who can really tell you your chances. But truthfully, you may need to have extraordinary circumstances to get through to the admitted group. When students’ scores are very far below average, they have usually either done incredible things or have endured incredible obstacles. But then Again, this is only one person’s perspective so take it with many grains of salt. Definitely keep your hopes up because truly anyone has a chance. Good luck!

@LondonVall I got the snail mail Diversity Letter. I checked and there is no deadline to register listed. I still haven’t registered- do you think I still can?
@SuperGymnast_04 it definitely wouldn’t hurt to try! I just wouldn’t buy any plane tickets until you are confirmed registered, but try to register and let us know if they are still taking people
