yep. it’s gone.
do any cornell transfers want to connect on insta? i got in like may first lol im a bit late
You can post on @cornell_2028to Also, follow @alreadyfriendz on IG. It’s a group at Cornell that sets up activities for transfers and matches them with mentors this summer.
I’m a non-TO student though, I feel like I’m outta luck
I’ve only connected with a few transfers but alot that ive seen r like uber rich and came from really good schools which are both complete opposites from me, I just wanna know if there’s anybody else that also came from nothing
It doesn’t matter whether you were a TO or not. And it doesn’t matter what school you transferred from or how much money your family has. Drop that thinking like a bad habit. You deserve to be at Cornell and will do great things.
There will be plenty of activities for all transfer students. Be sure to join in and push yourself to get involved.
Hi everyone,
I hope everyone has got some clarity over what/where they will be for next year and are HAPPY with it.
(Does anyone know if admissions are over for this cycle - transfers/regular/TO -or if this still goes on because of people dropping out or deferring?)
Hey! I’m a rising Junior who got into ILR as a transfer. Please add me to the gc! Username: j____a____k___e
Hey y’all! First off, big congrats to everyone who got in — y’all crushed it!
So I got in and I’m seriously considering making the move. That said… Cornell isn’t exactly cheap, so I need a bit of time to crunch the numbers and see if I can realistically swing it.
My plan is to accept the offer now, buy myself a little time to figure out the finances, and if it doesn’t work out, I’ll just stick around at UT dallas (my current school) and keep it rolling.
But — here’s my question: if I accept Cornell for now and then later decide to stay at UTD, will that cause any issues with my current standing here? Should I give someone a heads-up at UTD just in case, or is it chill as long as I don’t officially withdraw or transfer anything?
Appreciate any advice!
I think transcripts are due pretty soon, so you’d at least have to send that. Probably best to ask about it at UT so you don’t end up in a jam.
As the final cycle for this wraps (I think), I just wanted to make this for any prospective transfers that end up on this thread looking for advice. I’m no expert, but what I feel like helped me was reading online that in your essays, you write your story. You write like no other person could about your life, your challenges/struggles you overcame, your passions, the dreams that keep you up at night, the hobbies you do, everything that brought you to where you are today, and have it some how match the prompt in the end. Don’t try to overly fit the prompts if you feel like that’s holding you back, and no you don’t need to have a 4.0 in high school as well especially if you had extenuating circumstances you can add in your additional information. As an incoming non-TO FGLI student I would’ve never dreamed the day I would wake up and be enrolled in a school number one for my field of study globally for both undergrad and grad school. In this incoming transfer class, there are students coming from so many different backgrounds and with so many different identities. For all reading this, regardless if you got in or not, or if you’re a prospective, I’m proud of you. You came all this way, carried all of your stories, pain, memories, dreams, I promise you will do amazing wherever you go if you make it your home. You got this!!! <3
