Cornell Transfer CO 2027/28 (For Fall 2025)

Ah well I’m not TO idk if that would change it

Mine says “inquiry access denied” what does that mean?

Wanted to jump in a clarify the FA portal checklist being discussed elsewhere (mostly on Reddit).

There are two links, one which often gives the “inquiry access denied” (ignore that), and one which simply shows the checklist of your financial aid documents that are pending.

Also probably worth ignoring on both ends if you did not apply for financial aid.

Most students see the below screen, but only once they select Cornell University in the dropdown. When they open the page, the to-do list is blank, and once they do that, items say processing.

Some other students (mostly those who have TOs), however, do not have any checklist at all or the dropdown selections table.

Those students are claiming they used to have documents that said processing, and now it has switched to the second variation. The claim that this “usually indicated an acceptance” was made, but I have not gone back to past threads to substantiate that.

The ways in which portals (the frontend) change when the backend system changes are made often vary year to year. At best, one could maybe assume they are getting a decision soon. That said, do not put any weight into what yours looks like.

Also, worth noting I am an applicant for Public Policy, and one of my organizations tracks analytics on website viewers. Someone from Cornell looked through it as late as yesterday. Hence, if some tiny item portal hasn’t changed for you, they made not have even made a decision yet.

Best of luck to all!

Confusing. What should my D (TO CALS) look for? Admissions coming next week? Has anyone emailed admissions recently? Thank you.

Best policy is just to ignore “portal astrology” and wait until actual decisions release.

The consensus based on prior years is that decisions will start being sent out on a rolling basis within the next two weeks, likely on a Tuesday (this coming 15th, for example). Then, they continue weekly through June (according to the Cornell Website).

All your daughter (and any of us) can really do is wait till we get an update in our portal.

If anyone has been in contact with them and has an exact date, please chime in. Thanks

Somehow, this last stretch is getting to me  It’s okay. Have to use the “Busy Yourself” technique lol

Is it typical for the withdrawal button to still be available at this point? I was hoping for decisions to begin rolling out tomorrow :sob:

Yes, it’s fine if the withdrawal button is there.

You’ll know if decisions are coming out if your application checklist disappears (the one with the green check marks :white_check_mark:) sometime in the morning. If that happens, then typically the result is posted that same day after 2pmEST.

Ok, I will look out for that then. Thank you!!

I would not expect any results on Tuesday. Last year results came out on a Thursday. If I’m wrong, great. And if I’m right, you won’t be disappointed if nothing happens tomorrow. :grimacing:

Someone on Reddit was able to register for classes and access other stuff through the financial aid portal, was wondering if anyone else is seeing this?

OHHHHHH MYYYY GODDDDDDD!!! Btw, thank you for being so informative and sharing what you know. It is much appreciated.

No, I don’t see it. If it is real, then it seems to be a glitch. I don’t think we should take it as an indication if we got in or not. I think we’re good :flexed_biceps:

Relax. Current students at Cornell haven’t even registered for classes for the fall yet. Doubtful someone waiting on transfer admission has been able to do so.

At this point there’s not point of stressing about portal astrology when we’re already so close to decisions. If you wanted to access this specific ‘glitch’ you just need to be on your phone and click the three buttons on the top, click my preferences, then click the three buttons on the top again to go ‘home’. It should display the same things this person is seeing.

Does Cornell have any system for who will receive decisions first. Is it by school?

i think they start with the smaller schools like ilr first

The checklist is still there. I saw that the deadline to submit all the items is April 15th, so I was expecting it to disappear after the 15th and not on it. I am not sure what this means for anything, but wanted to give an update on what I am seeing.

I have always wondered why they don’t want the full year’s grades from TOs or other transfers before deciding. One semester’s grades plus grades from mid (or less) way of the second semester is hardly giving them much information past what they see on the HS transcript. I guess this is why they likely wait until May/June for non-TO
