Coronavirus and US Campus issues

Waiting on pins and needles for info about D16 MM in voice and opera at IU/Jacobs —They auditioned for three fall/winter operas but have not cast it yet. Presume the delay is due to rethinking their model and whether they will open for performance majors. It is a mammoth program. ??

What about Culinary Arts Programs?

Honestly, I don’t know. It’s not something that I thought about as they aren’t usually at typical four year schools (are they??). I know there is at least one online culinary program in regular times, so I wonder if it doesn’t translate ok- though I would think outside opinions of your work product would be important. The performing arts always involves contact and collaboration, though, and I don’t know if any actual distance programs for any of the performing arts.

Couldn’t masks be worn during prep and work stations for Culinary programs be spaced 6’ apart or have barriers installed between? Restaurants are operating, so wouldn’t culinary programs be able to replicate safety protocols of their industry, too?
