Coronavirus: Giving college students good advice about 2020-21

In some states, the transfer pathway from community colleges to state universities is well trodden and well documented.

However, if the targets are private schools, transfer admission tends to be much more opaque than frosh admission, and some admit very few transfer students. In addition, transfer merit scholarships tend to be less common than frosh merit scholarships.

I heard him say, ‘at least for a time’ after he said that, though. I think no one knows about long term immunity. I hope it will be, though.

I’m not sure what ‘just being’ looks like in your house, but in my house (for my younger child, my older child is SUPER motivated so this does not apply) that “being” would be - Sleeping until noon, watching 6 hours of netflix a day, and maybe hanging out with friends (if that is allowed -currently, its not) and 30 minutes of exercise. With no work to be had, I don’t want my kid to defer adult life for a year (starting college later) to hang around and do nothing for a year. We’ll deal with whatever colleges come up with in the fall because my youngest (2020 High School grad) is certainly ** not ** staying home doing nothing for a year this fall. I have had 3 weeks to see what that would look like, and I don’t like it!

I did not write that quote @suzyQ7

Sorry - fixed it.
