<p>You’d be surprised, Choaties are everywhere in the world. I think there is a contingency in Hong Kong. You’ll likely get invited to not one but several welcoming lunches/dinners.</p>

<p>lots of times, families of current students like to host welcome parties at their homes for newly accepted students. these luncheons begin late spring and carry all the way through the summer. choate will send you invitations to the gatherings that are reasonably close to your home!</p>

<p>Thats sounds cool! I was talking with another student over urchoate that lives near me, but he is the only one close to me really. When we got the phone call from a Choate parent, she said not many people live around my area</p>

<p>@bronxkid, just got the confirmation from Choate that the lunch is for parents. However, they will have some student get-togethers later on this summer prior to the start of school.</p>
