***Countdown to June SAT 2011 Results***

Also, does it look bad that there is a big gap between CR and the other two for me?

@Arct1cR00st3r I took my first SAT as an 8th grader as well. : ) I’m sure concentrated studying could easily bring your score up by a couple hundred of points. If you don’t mind my asking, though, why next year? Freshman year seems a bit premature!

@Arct1cR00st3r

Dude-- 8th grade really means nothing. I brought like a 1600 up to a 2240 in one sitting-- with a review class and a lot of practice tests. Don’t take it next year though. Practice until Junior year, and then finish it all up Junior year, and then do the subject tests.

750W (12E)
740CR
680M

which brings my superscore to a 740CR, 690M, 800W (12E); 2230 Composite. :)

Well this sucks…
CR 700
Math 760
W 710 (69/10)

Only 60 pts increase from March…should’ve practiced more…damn school
I guess I gotta retake it since my goal was to break 2250…

@I3auer I see no reason why only taking the SAT once makes you look “bad.” To a certain extent, it shows that you’re happy with yourself and you’re not obsessed with test scores. That’s not to say that retaking is a bad idea, either. It’s just when you’ve taken it an ABSURD amount of times that alarm bells start going off.

As for CR, I have two words for you: Direct. Hits. It’s a godsend. That should bring you up several points, easy.

And most colleges only require two SAT IIs, so you’re probably fine. It depends, though, on where you want to go and what you’d like to study. A future math major shouldn’t send in just two history SAT IIs, if you know what I’m saying. But if you’re not primarily interested in math and your schools allow Score Choice, I’d just send the two that are in the 700s!

All in all, I say go for the SAT I retake! You have the room to improve with CR, which has a notoriously nice curve anyway. I’d be willing to bet that you’ll break 2300. : D

So pleased with my scores  Didn’t study at all for the test and improved by 100 points (~200 from October, no study)!

CR-740 (so lucky)
Writing-620
Math-610

overall 1970

CR: 620
M: 780
W: 780 (74/11)
Composite: 2180

Relatively pleased with these scores… I thought I did better on the CR, but its better than my 560 in March. I’m just afraid it will significantly hurt me for college purposes.

CR- 800
M- 800
W- 780

2380!!! up from a 2260 in january! so happy i’m done with this test
good luck all!!!

I got a 2040 which was disappointing as I really wanted to break at least 2100 this time:
Writing: 650 (MC 63 E 9) went down from a previous 660 (MC 62 E 10)
Reading: 690 why not a 700 but I went up from a 660
Math: 700 stayed the same, I just can’t get past that

It’s only my second time but I wanted a higher score so I guess I’ll do it again, ugh. What I’m mad about is that I thought I did better on writing than last time, I wrote about Jersey Shore and this time I wrote about History and got lower which is frustrating. I just wanted to be sure I’d get in where I want, but superscore 2050 previously a 2020 on my first sitting so here’s hoping I can go up more

640 cr, 710 math, 730 writing
total: 2080

man i thought i did better in cr. i got a 650 on it in march. =|

March/June

CR: 620/670
Math: 660/740
Writing: 700/670
Essay: 12/11

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I’d say all luck… I didn’t study THAT much >_<

800 Math2 =)

Quick question though… I took the SAT in December of this year (Junior year) and I got
610 CR (only missed 1 vocab Q, so it was all reading…=(
780 MA
700 WR (8 essay)

How hard would it be to raise the reading portion by 100+ points in a 3-4 months? Is it even possible?

I’m really disappointed with my scores… I got the minimum of what I wanted in CR + W. Especially math though… I only improved by 10 and I was expecting at least 700 and wanted ~750. I’ll have to practice again and take it for the 3rd time, in October :frowning: . I thought the math was really easy this time too and had trouble in CR the most

First try/Second try (this time)/What I wanted
CR: 550/600/Min:600-Max:650
M: 650/660/Min:700-Max:750
W: 550/560/Min:550-Max:600

Well, this just sucks for me.

March SAT:
CR 780
M 720
W 720 (70/10)

June SAT:
CR 750
M 760
W 710 (70/9)

I thought I did much better this time in everything but critical reading, which shows. I’m not even sure if I really want to send these ones anywhere.

■■■! I didn’t get anywhere near breaking 2000+. I"m so upset. There isn’t much time left to take the SAT again. I"m so screwed. I studied from the blue book and everything! Now what?!

I got f’ed my Critical Reading. And I actually thought I did decent… :(

CR 660
M 760
W 740 (77/8)*

*I didn’t even finish my essay lol.

800 M
800 W(80 MC/11 Essay)
770 CR

2370

Nov/June
Cr:590/640
M:580/640
W:510/680

1680–>1960

im happy :), i think ill retake in october one more time so i can raise scores/superscore

Well, compared to the geniuses of CC, I know this doesn’t seem like much but I wanna thank everyone for any help/tips/suggestions/essay grades…I was able to raise my score (super-scored) from a 1990 to a 2110! I broke the 2100 mark which was my original goal. I hope when I retake in november I can get 2150+. Anyway, here’s my individual scores, for March and June:

March 2011:

CR- 700
M- 660
W- 630

June 2011

CR-630 (-.-)
M- 680
W- 730

Superscored ( CR- 700, M- 680, W- 730) = 2110!!
