are you guys gonna stay up all night or get up early…i contemplated doing both but my mom won’t give me her email password. this is us in the car:

Me: Mom, will you give me your password so I can check on March 10th?
Mom: No, sorry.
Me: But you can change it right afterwards!!
Mom: I’ve had that password for years and I don’t want to change.
Me: Are you serious?!?! You don’t need to be sentimental about your passwords!

@manatee1258 same here

Full pay will not guarantee you a spot in a top tier school

perrier2468: my daughter’s school’s guidance councilor talked to Andover, as I remember.

No, she did not get off the WL the second time: Andover took none of the WL that year, and, as I remember, had to find space for beds over the summer just to house the admits; the yield was higher than expected.

For those of you who think being a “legacy” gets you a free ride, it certainly doesn’t at a school like Andover under most circumstances. And I don’t think I would want it any other way. As an alum, I think the application should get extra care in consideration to avoid mistakes, but that the kids should be fully competitive in the admissions process.

There is no Full Pay for top tier schools. Each school spent much more on each student than the tuition. Take Andover for example, PA spent average almost $80,000 per student annually. The tuition is less than $50,000.

Yeah, I’ve heard the difference (from the actual cost compared to the tuition) is from the endowment from alumni.

And omg tomorrow night is going to be crazy!

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S SATURDAY SOON. OMGOMGOMG. :D

Ahhhhh guys I can’t believe it!!! Starting at midnight tonight, the fate of my entire high school career will be decided. I feel literally sick to my stomach!!!

I know, I actually felt nauseous a few times during school today… decisions, decisions, :O

I’m not sure if the gnawing pain in my stomach is just hunger or nervousness. March 10th is my birthday… let’s hope it’s a happy one.

@bksvet310 have a happy birthday tomorrow. Good luck!

in less than 12 hours my whole life will change… i’m freaking out.

Just remember: whatever door you go through, YOUR life is what YOU make of it. And there will be many doors after this…

Thanks for the kind works, BD. My whole stomach is churning right now though; I feel as though everything for the past half year has been leading up to tomorrow…

Hey guys, im new to CC and the boarding school community (hopefully). I can’t wait!! Does anyone know how the Millbrook School notifys applicants of there decision?? Good Luck Everyone!!

Millbrook notifies applicants of their decision by snail mail.

Ughgh really… I probally won’t hear anything untill monday/tuesday then.

Which other schools are you applying to? Good luck! Trust me, you aren’t the only one who will have to wait until March 12 or 13th…

I’m applying to Exeter and St Pauls. Only 3… And for 10th grade. Lol im starting to dought myself. How about you??

Emma Willard, NMH, Concord, Peddie, Lawrenceville, Dana Hall, and Westminster. I’ve already been rejected at two schools… most likely, I will be rejected at the rest of them as well…

I have an inkling SPS may post around midnight, to end our wait, this being a leap year and all. All they have told us is that they’re posting decision “by 3 PM”

Wow well dont put yourself down, the admissions critera is different for all schools and you still have a few more chances
Good Luck!!

& Really?? I hope St Pauls Does!!.. But then again 14% acceptance rate. Good luck!
