Counting down to December 15?

How many here are counting down to December 15th? Only 29 days!

For those of you who applied last year/have S or D’s who applied last year, did anyone receive their decision before December 15?

I’m counting down the days… And the waiting is killing me!!!

Yay!! I’m so excited even though I havent officially finished my application yet. I’ll do it tonight. Did anyone apply to honors? I find out regular acceptance on December 15 but I find out honors acceptance in January, I think.

You haven’t finished the regular application or the honors application? If you haven’t finished the regular application yet, you won’t receive a decision the week of December 15. If you just haven’t finished your honors application, you’re fine.

Well, the regular app and the honors app has to be done at the same time. They said if you complete both the apps by nov. 15 then you will get one or both the decisions on dec. 15. If you dont get the honors decision on dec. 15 then you will get it in january, I think.

I applied to the honors college! Fingers crossed!

My daughter received her acceptance last year on December 19 (we are in Massachusetts).

Here is the link to last year’s countdown thread:

So this doesn’t apply for regular decision applicants? If that’s the case, does anyone know when my admission decision will come?

I applied October 17, am I getting a decision in December or no?

First of all, the regular application and the honors one do not have to be completed at the same time. You just check no on the regular application, and then send in the honors application which is available elsewhere by November 15.

The early answer deadline was October 15. Any applications after that won’t be getting an answer in December.

Im counting down the days,im a little worried tho,my gpa slipped in my sophomore yr. but it came up last year. does anyone know if Boys State is something that looks good on the college app???

From my understanding (I’ve been in contact with the Office of Admissions), as long as you submit the Honors College/Top Scholars application, you didn’t need to submit the regular application by October 15 as long as you had both apps in by November 15. I think this was already said, but my comprehension skills are down as I’m on cold medicine right now ha.

ac1044 - I put Boys State on all my applications. I would imagine that schools would like to see that you spent your summer doing something educational and that your counselor or American Legion rep saw something special in you.

hey guys ahh this wait is killing me! They just mail you right, they don’t email you or do anything online?

I believe they only mail you… I’m not 100% sure though. Either way, we hear back next week though! Very excited! :)

Does this December 15th notification apply for regular decision applicants as well?

Just to let everyone know, decision letters were mailed yesterday. Received mine today, but I’m in-state.

Got letter in NC today!

My daughter got her letter today in VA! :)

Son got his today in GA! Loved the envelope.

anyone have any idea about merit awards? When do students hear about those?

DS got his in Illinois, in for CS… no mention of honors college or merit awards, did anyone else hear about these?
