If you use the cpm book and are in, or were in algebra 2 can you tell me if a lot of geometry is needed, or would someone be fine doing geometry and algebra 2?

Not much geometry involved except maybe a basic understanding of trig functions (what sine, cosine, and tangent are) and how to find the sides of a triangle when given two or something like that (similar triangles). I took algebra 2 last year with the CPM book.
You can definitely do them together but I’d suggest looking ahead to those concepts just to know what they are. The triangle stuff is mostly algebra applied to triangles and should be somewhat intuitive. But trig is weird until you do a few problems so do a little Khan academy or something.
