hello, i’m an international student currently studying in singapore.

the thing is, i was in an international school from grades 10-12, so my grades are pretty good around the, with an upwards trend, and am one of the top ib scorers in my grade.

but i was in a japanese middle school from grades 7-9, and pretty much did horribly as i couldn’t speak or read or understand japanese well. In grade 7 i failed pretty much all my subjects, but by grade 9 i was able to bring most my subjects to a C, and some to Bs and As.

Will colleges take into consideration that i had a language deficiency in grade 9? Or will they just cut me off because my GPA is low?
