The SAI from FAFSA is much higher than what Northeastern is expecting my daughter to pay after giving her institutional aid and merit. Will they now give her less institutional aid after seeing the SAI? I am assuming that having 3 kids in college at once helped with the CSS profile and institutional aid as opposed to no help reducing the SAI. She has her financial aid offer but it says it could change if the info provided for fafsa changes.
It’s very possible that Northeastern considered the three kids in college…which the FAFSA no longer does.
If you are concerned, contact financial aid at Northeastern and ask.

Hopefully, nothing changes. The exact same info was used for FAFSA and CSS. I just hope they don’t look at the SAI and say “oh, this student can pay more based on SAI.”
