Got into Baruch through Seek! So excited and Got an email from hunter saying I’m also seek eligible
I was accepted to Baruch early February and also applied for Macaulay. When should I expect to receive a financial aid award letter?
This is for anyone who’s a transfer. Did anyone receive a letter asking to take a math placement exam? I’m really worried cause I’ve taken a math course already at the college I’m currently at.
@warda if you have taken and passed a math class before transferring, then a placement exam is not necessary since you will receive credit for it when you credits transfer to the new school…
@nhsstudent123 probably not until may or june. that’s my guess…

@warda did u also take english composition I? if not then you might need to take the english and reading placement exam. i took the placement exams while i was an entering freshman. now since i took english comp I and II and a math course, i did not have to take another math exam.
may i ask what school you are transferring to??

My major is mathematics and so far I’ve taken pre-calc and college algebra
@warda great! good luck with that. make sure you immediately register for calc 1. that class at CCNY closes out like lightning over there due to the mass of math and science students there…
Hey guys! I wish the best to all of you! My application status has been updated. It says that a decision has been made and they will contact me soon. I just called CUNY and it says Baruch (which was my first choice). Does this men that I got in???

@dobeR did you try to access MyBaruch and see if anything changed?? however i think you might have gotten in…check the page i mentioned.
a quick question: is there a page for admitted students at CUNY’s School of Professional Studies?? i am waiting for a decision from them. i also filed an admissions appeal for Baruch as well (a better school i think than John Jay–also it would be easier for me to get to via express bus).

@robnjessmom CUNY is notorious when it comes to the response times of making admissions decisions…they feed it to whoever and they decide–depending on when your file is complete–which “wave” (what that is, well, take a good guess and it has nothing to do with swimming or surfing) it belongs to (hence the term “the earlier, the better”). once that is done, you will get a decision. note that i do not know the time value of each “wave”, but if i were to guess, it began in february and continues from there.
Thanks for that @baker101460. He sent in all his paperwork by middle of December, but I guess the Grove School rashes additional time. The waiting continues.
