Curriculums similar to Mercersburg

Original post says they would consider New England for a good fit.

Yes, although we would prefer closer to Western PA, she is (at least for now) looking at schools in New England as well. So suggestions in that area are fine.

Thanks for the clarification. You might like Cambridge School of Weston and Northfield Mt Hermon. I think, as a very broad generalization, that the Mid-Atlantic families/schools are a bit less amped up in terms of competition. (Something seems to happen when you have Atlantic coastline!)

Love CSW. Head of School is amazing and very student first in her strategic planning. And not competitive or back-stabby at all.

Another vote for St. Andrews (DE). It’s a wonderful school with a great culture–very nurturing and warm.

Just adding some +1s to Madeira, George (who both a few years ago made some curriculum changes that gave some more flexibility – this was back when my daughters were in at the application cycles). 3 of my 4 daughters ended up choosing Mercersburg (the 4th didn’t go to BS), and they had 3 VERY different paths in terms of curriculum, and all 3 were met with different options and approaches. So I realize you are asking for school in addition to Mercersburg, so I guess I’m just underlining how valuable MB was to each of my kids in very different ways.

Thank you, reinforcement of options already named is definitely appreciated!

In general, I just wanted to take a moment to express a thank you to all the participants. My daughter has so many highly suitable options to consider thanks to your collective efforts.
