I’m seeing yield protection here. I’m pretty certain that happened in my daughter’s case. I’m wondering how much she should supplement the application to say, “I’m serious here!”
Still waiting on the email (right, you have to get the email?).
Wow - I know these posts are a small sample size but everyone’s stats and results are all over the place. It doesn’t seem like you can predict who would get in, rejected, deferred based on their listed stats. However (and I’m not being snarky at all), even when everyone lists stats, it doesn’t give the whole picture, of course, because some applicants line up with an institution’s priorities and some don’t.
My daughter hasn’t received an email either.
Good luck

Depends on the major and also personal statement is definitely a factor. Seems like demonstrated interest/yield protection are also at play.

I think there is no reasoning to how these colleges are deciding.
seems like it it purely based on yield.
I have been getting so many emails from EA schools asking me to move to ED2…i think the ED2 option is working out in favor of the colleges, and i think it is borderline unethical to try and scare us into switching.
