I feel exactly the same! I have a 4.7 weighted GPA, all AP classes, I’ve maxed out the calc curriculum and in Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus, have a 5 on the Calc BC AP from my sophomore year, a 34 ACT, and I’m a first generation college student from a rural Wisconsin area who won a full ride college prep school and who now conducts real stem cell research with UCONN on esophageal atresia, has had two medical internships, and I’m a scenic painter, dancer, singer, and community service president and RA. I can’t do more at my boarding school and I have two jobs at home to pay for my books and travel. I’ve been accepted to other schools honors programs and given dean’s scholarships, and am a Morehead Cain semifinalist as of now, maybe a finalist. Yet? Deferred.
Someone asked about off-campus interviews…they stopped doing alumni interviews this year because there were way more students that wanted them than alumni to do them.
@hrwalle Case isn’t a safety for anyone.
Case has a single door admissions policy…so you don’t get accepted into a major, you get accepted into the University.
What is your SAT breakdown?
Case is not a safety for anyone. It is in the top 10% of Nationally Ranked Universities.
I think they do look at your major somewhat…if you had a low Math SAT and said you wanted to do Aerospace Eng they may not accept you vs. if you wanted to be an English major…

Showed literally no interest at all I’m surprised they didn’t cut me to protect yield rate. Got deferred from my reach ED so I’m super happy I got in here.
My son got accepted to the Baker-Nord Scholars program, does anyone have any knowledge of this program? I did some reading and it sounds really cool, but curious about any first hand experience
DS deferred EA at CWRU today but accepted EA at Michigan today. Stat wise Michigan was more of a reach than CWRU. But DS bleeds maize and blue, so this probably showed up in his Michigan essays. Michigan actually defers a vast number of students. In both cases its all about yield protection. Now that DS is in Michigan, he has no interest in other schools. Michigan probably sensed 100% yes and CWRU sensed it would be a backup if the dream school didn’t hit. In any case CWRU is a fine school, and DS withdrawl will make room for some RD CWRU student who has that as their first choice. GLTA,
How to view my financial aid offer?
590 English, 750 Math. I’m also an international applicant. Major in Biology. My IB is around 36/37. I have a lot of ECs and a decent essay (I think)
DS Accepted EA, $32,500 scholarship.

Attended diversity overnight and showed demonstrated interest.
He’s still waiting for 4 more notifications and has gotten 2 other good acceptances, so he has some hard decisions to make. CWRU has been in his top 2 all along, though. It’s a fantastic school.
@kydelphine - Wow, amazing stats. Many congrats. So many deferrals this round glad to see someone accepted!
I got in through Early Decision! Very excited

I think a research paper I did helped me a lot.
It said in my acceptance letter at the bottom that they thought my research paper was interesting. I published my research paper at a conference and is also in a process of publishing in a journal.
Same here 36 ACT 4.8 GPA, 800 etc etc. Deferred.
Annoying thing is the harassing passive aggressive emails for months asking why I hadn’t applied yet. It feels like a bit of a set up to entice you to apply just to boost their metrics when they defer you.
