<p>Just out of curiosity - are D.C. applicants considered in-staters for admission the same way that Virginians are?</p>

<p>No. If you live in the District, you are not a resident of Virginia.</p>

<p>If you do get in, though, there is a grant program for D.C. residents that is intended to make up the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition.</p>
