This is escapist TV for sure, but I’ve watched a few sets (between walking the dog). I have my fav.
I’m watching. Every year I say I’m not going to get hooked again, but every year I do!
I was surprised at Johnny Weir’s 6’s. I thought he did better than that. He’s going to be fun to watch.
I haven’t watched in years. But happened to turn it on and have had it on in the background. Johnny was good. I wanted to see Chrishell but I missed it - I’m watching her other reality series - I hear they were rough on her.
I wasn’t even sure who the judges were anymore. And Tom the host is apparently OUT?!
It was announced in July that Tom and Erin Andrews were axed. Bruno and Carrie Ann are returning judges. Len can’t travel due to Covid, so Derek Hough joined the judging panel. The same Covid restrictions are preventing Bruno from participating live in the UK version, which starts in October.
We thought Johnny Weir was much better than his scores. I think he’ll go far.
I’m watching Jesse Metcalfe as a possible most improved.
My favorite was Justina Machado. She was very graceful and energetic. She seems like a joyful person.
I looked and Jesse Metcalfe and was like “WHERE do I know him from?!” It was Desperate Housewives!! LOL Not sure what he has done more recently.
Isn’t it typical for the scores to be low at the start? Like purposeful to raise the bar for later episodes??
I’ve never watched, but I am curious how Carole Baskin is doing. I binge watched Tiger King, which was a slew of unlikable people, her included.

Bruno Toglioni’s silver hair may take some getting used to. But I found the canned “audience” reaction extremely annoying after about a nanosecond. I will reserve judgement in Tyra Banks as the host for now, although I thought she was kinda meh when she hosted America’s Got Talent.

After many years, I will no longer watch (even though I love Johnny Weir). Very upset about Tom and Erin being axed. It’s tough not to watch this year especially because there is so little else on TV.
