Sorry to see Sherri go too and rather surprised considering her overall performance over the season so far. And why was Rashon in the bottom two? He danced well every week in my opinion. Sherri has been a delight to watch. Her farewell message moved me.

I really iike Gladys and am glad she is still in it though her dance was just fair this time.

The person least interesting to me is Gavin.

The absolute worst music to do tango and paso doble to is rock. Rock cha chas and jives and even fox trots can be fine, but they just really don’t work for those two dances. I was glad to see they didn’t try to do some funky rock thing for the Viennese waltz. I think Gladys just ran out of steam at the end. The choreography was great to a really difficult piece of music (probably the most difficult of them all the other night) and she did very well in the beginning, but toward the end she just couldn’t keep up. Thought Donald’s dance deserved the encore although I just don’t think Peta is very interesting as a pro.

Roshon and Sherri must really have been in the bottom two. Usually, they make a point to say that the ones in jeopardy don’t necessarily have the lowest scores (one does, of course, but not necessarily the other), and they didn’t say that last night.

Thought the Vegas show highlight was good, too, but I just wonder how many of the dancers in it are former celebs.

It was probably time for Gavin to go but he at least seems like a nice guy. I hope Urkel goes home next week (or Melissa)… she really grates my nerves :)

I guess Joey Fatone will be in the Vegas show. Also Kyle the Disney star from a few years back. Sabrina Bryan…trying to remember who else I saw in the dance number…

Good–Gavin is gone…he knew he would be going–his dance on Monday was pretty awful. Urkel has got to go next…I couldn’t help noticing that after his dance on Monday night, he has his hand on Kym’s a** and she made a point of removing it deftly. I wonder if she has had to put up with any other unpleasantness from him.

I suppose it might be time for Gladys to go…she did run out of steam and Tristan did a great job in trying to keep her going. That guy is growing on me. He doesn’t stick out his tongue out so much this year as he did last year. Also–is he the only (male) dancer who doesn’t shave his chest?

I’m glad Gavin was the next to go as I thought he should have been the one to go the last couple of weeks.

While Melissa has been OK some weeks, I thought she was weak this week and expected her to be in the bottom two and was surprised she was not.

Jaleel is not a fave of mine, though I thought his dance was pretty good this week and so I would not have removed him quite yet.

I thought Gladys was weak the past two weeks and stronger earlier in the season. While I don’t expect her to last until the end, I am glad she is still in there as she is fun to watch and surely should be part of a Motown week. I give her a lot of credit and think it is hard to compare someone her age to someone like Roshon or Maria.

Sorry to see Gladys go, but she was the weakest dancer left at this stage of the competition. I loved the Motown theme. Absolutely my favorite kind of music and it was great to see the Temptations and Smokey Robinson doing many of their songs on Monday night. I had a smile on my face throughout the show Monday. The hits just kept on coming!

Derek probably should not have lied to the judges when he said that Maria “tripped on her dress” explaining how they got out of sync. Tonight, during the results show, they played the tape of their conversation and she did not respond with anything remotely close to what Derek offered up as to what happened.

Jaleel had quite a comeback on Monday, but Katherine is still the class of the field. Bruno needs to do more of his judging with the “other” end of his anatomy. Giving William a 10 was quite generous.

Yes, it was time for Gladys to go. Glad that she hung around for Motown Night though. Motown Night really worked. It was a theme week that I really enjoyed.

Next week is Classics Week–they did this a couple of years ago and it was a disaster! The music didn’t work or it didn’t have a danceable beat to it–why would they bring it back?!!

Agree about the classical night. It’s very hard to dance to most of it, and often the rhythm changes within a piece. I thought Tristan’s choreography for Gladys this week was perfection. It was perfect for her and perfect for the song but was still a rumba.

However, I am sick of the judges. They score all over the place. Give certain favorites (Derek anyone?) inflated scores. It’s so inconsistent. I thought Roshon’s rumba was great. Yes, it was a little jerky, but has any other male celeb had that kind of content?

I think Katherine will go soon. I just don’t think she has the fan base to keep her in and Mark doesn’t have Derek’s fan base to help. We’ll see.

Well, it won’t be the first time that a great dancer left earlier than she should have because she didn’t have the fan base…but I don’t think it will happen with Katherine. She’s just so personable!

I read on Yahoo (where I get all my news, LOL) that Gladys Knight lost 60 POUNDS in the two months she was on DWTS!

Roshon does great on the fast dances, but has trouble on the slow controlled dances. He might be in trouble next week…Jaleel and Melissa seem to be hitting their strides. I like him, but I didn’t like his rumba. I’m no judge, but as he was performing, I was telling my neighbor (and DWTS couch buddy)–“Ouch! He’s too jerky, not smooth.” Looks like the judges wanted more smooth also.

Okay, just turned on the TV and saw Cheryl and her handsome partner (don’t know his name). They did really well.

But WHO was the little girl opera singer?!?!?!?!? WOW! When I was her age I was doing laughable Herkies as a cheerleader and stumbling through piano recitals.

That little girl was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t believe how mature she sounded. However, I wish DWTS would give up on these theme nights. I would enjoy the dance so much more if the music was appropriate to the dance. I love the Canon in D music, but it’s not a rumba. Love Marriage of Figaro, but it’s not a tango. Anyone else agree?

gamom, I agree with you about the juxtaposition of music to dance. Whaaa? These aren’t rumbas that I know.

Somehow I missed that little girl. I saw a quick shot of her, but haven’t been totally focused on the show. It’s on, but I’m typing.

Just now, Maria & Derek got their “30”. I knew it. The judges love those staccato moves. I also like the couple who was just before them. Don’t know their names: he’s the “star”, she’s the professional, blonde. (Not Jaleel & Kim) They danced to the guy who sang opera. They got 27. I liked his comment, “Oh good. I’m not going backwards.”

Did something happen during Roshon and Chelsie’s dance? The camera cut away to the DWTS logo for a short bit. I don’t think anything was mentioned about it.

I know nothing about ballroom dancing, but I liked the vampire number. Very tight, disciplined movements, entertaining, the girl is beautiful, the pro is very handsome and really talented.

Reading through the above, it’s clear that “I know nothing about ballroom dancing.” Ha ha.
