<p>Well, Maria did go…and I’m sorry to see her go. But then I would have been sorry to see any of them go. The quality was so good this year. There doesn’t seem to be a real favorite this year. </p>
<p>I thought that the stories told by the stars about how they came by their inner drive were very inspirational. (Well, Catherine’s didn’t quite have the same punch…smiling again after a bad break up…). These people are VERY motivated to escape their circumstances and make a better life for themselves and their families.</p>
<p>Well, tango14 called the one to go. So maybe she’s right about the ultimate winner. I don’t think Donald is the best dancer, but I have more than once found myself smiling with joy through his entire performance. That has happened to me with several of the better dancers over the years - Apolo Anton Ohno, Emmitt Smith and some others. Giving your viewers a sense of elation is certainly worth something :).</p>
<p>That said, I love William Levy as well. And… although Katherine doesn’t excite me as much, I remember from the very beginning not even knowing which in her pair was the professional.</p>
<p>So, there really can’t be a wrong winner. Too bad Maria couldn’t have participated in a 4-way final. They were all at such parity.</p>
<p>I saw an interview with Derek where he told Maria they would be the ones eliminated because of the way the judges were scoring. I took that to mean that they had less popular votes and the judges were trying to prop them up a bit.</p>
<p>Maria had a big goof at the beginning of the quickstep. It was very obvious and only Len mentioned it. The others gave them 10s! </p>
<p>Football players always do better than their talent warrants because of the number of fans they have. And when he can actually dance well, they do even better. That said, maybe William’s legions of fans will give him the win. I think Katherine will be 3rd because she doesn’t have a fan base. My call is 1-Donald, 2-William, 3-Katherine, but they all still have to dance well.</p>
<p>I know this is politically incorrect, but I was really impressed with William’s, uh, ass-ets this week. Oh, and he can dance. My votes are going to him!</p>
<p>^I’m not wallowing in that muck… I’m hoping Katherine wins. I better stay a-breast of this situation.:)</p>
<p>I like her for her mind and not just her body, even though I think she may have told a small fib about being injured!</p>
<p>I like Donald Driver. I agree with jmmom when she says, “I have more than once found myself smiling with joy through his entire performance.” Just for the record, I’m not a football fan; I had no idea who he is. I also like to see a new pro’s face - Peta’s - in the finals. So often, it comes down to Cheryl, Derek, Mark, or Maks. (Glad to see Karina get her win last time.)</p>
<p>I like William Levy too, but haven’t warmed up to Katherine Jenkins quite as much. She’s good … but … something … I’m glad she’s made it this far, but I’m not behind her for the win. (And, yeah, I have my doubts about that injury too.) At least, I’m not in her corner for now. I haven’t watched the finals yet. </p>
<p>Still, Donald has never flubbed a dance and both William and Katherine have. (On the other hand, Len has withheld the coveted 10.)</p>
<p>I’ve liked Donald Driver all along but loved his totally unexpected freestyle. Good stuff.</p>

<p>I agreed that Cheryl did not think outside the box enough in planning her freestyle. Len was right: too much rehash. Still, Latin dancing does come most naturally to William. I thought the other two free style dances were both wonderful. DD is a little to stiff for me. I have to admit Katherine was wonderful. I say that because she seems a bit of a Barbie doll to me, and I haven’t been rooting for her. Still, her work was incredible last night.</p>
<p>And yes, the country free-style was unexpected and adorable.</p>
<p>Haven’t watched DWTS all season, til last night. Driver’s freestyle was great – so fun, so much energy. I’m also a big country music fan, so a little biased in that regard. Will be watching American Idol finals tonight, so will have to catch up results here:) or on DVR.</p>
<p>William will get the numbers with the popular vote, with DD and Katherine splitting the rest.
The 24 hour dance will put the decision for the final winner back into the judges’ hands.
If William doesn’t win prepare for a chair throwing, stiletto waving, 50 shades of Grey fueled riot in the ballroom.
Now, that’s entertainment.
Seriously, any of the 3 could get the gaudy trophy.
It has been an enjoyable, fun season with good contestants.</p>
<p>I was a Maria fan and just find Katherine annoying. I thought she had no business getting promoted to the finals over Maria with the tacky green dance and slip up. I thought her routine lacked precision with nmistimed, random kicks all over the place - judges disagree however, and they know these things. They seem to want her to win, so I hope William knocks it out of the park and gets the fan votes.</p>
<p>On another board I read where a poster referred to Katherine’s freestyle shoe choice as “Disco Nurse” 
They did seem really out of character for the rest of her outfit but she did a great job with some difficult (and fast) choreography. </p>
<p>William was sexy, as usual, and shined in his Latin freestyle. But I really, really hope that Donald wins. His first dance was kind of blah for me, and I usually love an Argentine tango. But Peta had most of the moves and really overshadowed Donald, I thought. The freestyle was SO much better!</p>
<p>LOL on “Disco Nurse” hospital shoes was how I put it at home. They made her flat footed, though. She needed some low/med heel “flapper shoes” with a buckle strap. They were just too white.</p>
<p>Peta’s dress or shall I say the minimal amount of lace and flesh colored straps possible to still be described as a dress.
A wardrobe malfunction north or south of her Mason-Dixon line would have been eye popping.</p>
<p>Katherine’s shoes look like what Nurse Ratchet wore in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
They were too ugly and distracted from her flapper dress.</p>
<p>I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one distracted by those shoes. They were so flat and boxy and eye-blindingly WHITE. I also thought her timing was off a bit. She just didn’t loo crisp to me. Loved Donald’s freestyle, though it was the most predictable.</p>
<p>yes - and the judges went on about how perfect she was - even D, who is not much of a dancer thought she was sloppy. Her green “back spasm” dance was the same way with too many flailing arms and just sloppy and yet they all gushed.</p>
