Besides what wis75 mentions, Noah’s success on the show might also be attributed to the judges. In past seasons they have mentioned that they have to judge the dance and not the disability. They seemed to have made an exception this season and over scored him a little. Giving him more reflective scores of his dancing would help offset the overwhelming outpouring of support a severely wounded war veteran has with the voters.
Im late, I know. I havent watched this season, but I did watch the Anniversary special. I loved the routine with the ex nfl players. I also loved Amber and Patti Labelle singing Lady Marmalade. Its sad that lil Kim has felt the need to get so much plastic surgery, she was a cute girl back in the day.

From cousin to judge to coach to dance partner!
Did y’all know Dancing With the Stars’ Riker Lynch is actually Julianne and Derek Hough’s cousin?! Yep, dancing clearly runs in the family!
And during tonight’s show, fans are in for a treat as we can exclusively reveal Julianne will be dancing with Riker and his professional partner Alison Holker during their Argentine Tango and we cannot be more excited as we love Julianne’s dancing just as much as her judging skills
Of course, Julianne isn’t the only judge getting in on the action, as E! News exclusively reported that, for the first time ever, each judge would be coaching one of the four remaining couples, choosing their song, dance style and wardrobe. But it looks like Julianne took it one step further, joining the routine, too! “Len, Carrie and Bruno better watch out,” Julianne warns in our exclusive video. “Just kidding, I love you guys!”
Argh. I have to go get ds at the airport, and he lands at 6:25. I hope he’s not late!!!
I always record the show. I skip a lot of it and often just watch the dances. Cuts the time investment way back.
Watching it live…let’s just say it’s gonna be REALLY hard to not vote for Noah G…even though, dance-wise, I think he’s the one that should not be in the finals. 
Yeah, but I’m still voting for Noah. The guy has a lion’s heart.
I don’t understand how Amy was so much better on her prosthetic than he is.
I must be heartless. The proposal came across as pandering for votes to me.
Amy was so much better because she has two working knee joints. Noah’s amputation is above the knee, so that prosthesis does not bend.
I think the proposal was genuine (and genuinely seemed to surprise everyone). But it surely won’t hurt the votes.
I voted for the other three, however.
Ah, thank you, churchmusicmom. That makes sense. Still, he is the least able dancer at this point and should be the next to leave, assuming this really is a dance competition. 
Both of them are amazing but having natural knee joints and 2 arms is a different set of challenges. I apologize that this is a huge oversimplification but: Amy essentially lost her feet and ankle joints (along with direct sensory feedback from the floor). Noah is missing his foot ankle and knee plus essentially a full arm (which has huge implications for balance and expression). While they are both double amputees Noah has less to work with and the AK (above knee) prosthesis is less versatile.
They are both incredibly inspirational and shouldn’t be compared.
For both of then just walking without any devices is a tremendous accomplishment. Dancing as they do is astonishing. This isn’t about who should win. I love Nastasha, Rumor and Reiker. I just wanted to put what Noah is doing and what Amy did into perspective because they make normal function look easy.
I really like all four of them. I will be happy for any of them to win but I will hate to see the others not win
I am rooting for Rumer and Riker to make the finals
Noah’s 2nd routine was great and he was great in it although it still wasn’t a lot of dance exactly - I’m worried that he makes it through on votes and Rumer gets kicked off
Yeah, I think it’d be a huge shame after all the hard work Rumor (well, all of them) have put in…Noah has obviously also worked really hard and has made amazing accomplishments but what he does, to me, is not as much dance. But I will be thrilled for him if he makes it. It just will not be as exciting to watch him in the finals because what I want to see there is really great dancing.
I guess that sounds pretty heartless…but there it is. To me it’s like, yeah it’s really great to see the older contestants (Patti Labelle, for example) and what they can do…but there is a time when, delightful as they are, they need to go so those who are still really moving forward with their dancing can continue doing so.
First, I want to say that Sharna has shown such depth of character and compassion towards her partner this season and I admire her greatly for that. I don’t think Noah should go to the finals, but he’s had a terrific run. I also think he proposed last night because the show’s producers don’t think he’ll go further, and they wanted maximum positive impact without the downer of being eliminated on the same night.
Loved Carrie Anne’s dress. Laughed When I first saw Erin, she looked like she was wearing the “big girl” version of the tooth fairy’s dress. Love her shorter hair, tho, looks way better.
Demi and Bruce don’t appear together, so I’m thinking there’s some bad blood there. Love how Rumer’s whole family turns out to support her, tho, and Demi talking with Erin was ultra fabulous.
The show last night was terrific. only wish Len had danced even longer with Nastia. That seemed like a send off for him.
I am worried that Julianne’s dance idea may have doomed Cousin Riker. Although he is always awesome, I like him in light, joyful dances because it makes me happy to watch him.
What is this three in jeopardy BS? Oh, brother.
That didn’t go as I wanted, but my favorite two are still in it, so there’s that.
I am bummed. And Nastia totally looked like she expected it.
