I just bought a pair of nude leather pumps @ 2 months ago. They are by Trotters and they were $99, so definitely mid-lower range, but for my budget…perfect! They are also on the lighter side of taupe, nude, beige. I would say the heel is approx. 2 “. I really can’t wear 3” heels anymore. I love them and they go with many different dresses and fancier pants. Nude sounds really nice for Emerald Green.

Here is a link to what I bought. Nude patent leather. Comfortable & not too expensive.

These are not only nice looking but are VERY comfortable!

For something less costly…naturalizer a are usually comfortable.

Those jimmy choos and manolo blahnik shoes…I cannot imagine what it might feel like to wear $595 shoes!
Thank you everyone for your advice/suggestions. I do only wear relatively high heels for cocktail type events because I am short and would be invisible otherwise…pain be damned!! I have almost totally decided on the JS darker nude pair.

Just for…check out those naturalizer in the previous post. Comfy. And we’ll priced.

I have the Cole-Haan shoes in the link that thumper posted. I really like them and agree they are very comfortable.

Nude means nude for your particular skin tone … And I’d absolutely go with patent over leather.

Personally, I’d also go either slingback / open heel or peep toe / closed heel (personal preference) if possible. Great wardrobe classic, you’ll wear forever.

^^^ I was hoping that you would weigh in!

Nude heels are a staple, and especially great when nothing else seems to go. I have a couple of pairs of nude patent pumps that I’ve worn numerous times, but I just bought a pair of nude suede Ferragamo pumps - limited edition and not advertised, so I can’t post a link. They are among the prettiest shoes I’ve ever owned…the color is incredible. I could honestly wear them everyday, but they are so great that I’m limiting my wearing so that I can keep them in perfect condition.

Ferragamo. Yummy. These ones?

No…they’re limited edition and not available anywhere but in NYC and LA. The edge is scalloped and very feminine. You would never know they are Ferragamo - no bow or iconic detail. Really comfortable and the color is the exact shade of my fading tan…

They must be gorgeous.

Romantica?

Apologies if I’ve gone overboard searching. It’s one of those things I enjoy doing. :)

For a cocktail dress, nude satin, strappy, high-heeled sandals look more elegant than pumps

I just had this conversation with some friends recently as I have an event to go to next month, which states ‘cocktail attire’. I knew about the event, but bought a dress before I saw the invitation which stated cocktail attire, and was concerned that the dress was not dressy enough. So I showed my friends a picture of the dress, with the new, very beautiful pumps I bought, and their consensus was that cocktail dress includes a wide-ranging description nowadays. They felt that the shoe I picked made the dress dressier an appropriate for the evening, although they also said I could get some jewelry that would dress it up even more, which I had planned to do (or rather, will put D1 to work on it, since she helped me pick out the dress). And again, the shoe is a suede pump with a kitten heel. So I think classy pumps would work with a cocktail dress.

I have the Cole Haan with an open toe. Yes comfy:). Norstorms anniversary sale several years ago.

Some of the Cole Haan shoes have Nike Air technology in them and make them extremely comfortable!

I think that nude/beige is a good choice to complement emerald and many other colors.

LOL, I’m usually in no hurry to spend $600 for a pair of trendy shoes. I wait for sales and deals, e.g. Outnet, Yoox, and others, but the shoe is destined to become a favorite, I can justify spending a bit more. These are my prized JCs that became my favorite go to pair:

I wore them with my favorite emerald dress to watch a play recently :)

Gourmetmom, I tried on a pair of black Ferragamo pumps at Bloomies the other day, and they felt heavenly! I just did not think at the time that I needed another pair of black shoes… Now I’m kicking myself. Can’t find that pump anywhere - they did not have the typical Ferragamo bows etc. either. BTW, thank you for your recommendation of Varaa - I still wear them with my pantsuits and beyond, and they still look as new and feel wonderful. Ferragamo’s patent leather is durable yet buttery soft.
