Seems very unlikely that we have this many who aren’t yet finalized, no? I also don’t see why we can assume that decisions have been finalized for all the ED defers.

this makes sense but would 50% really still not have decisions finalized by this point?

I am not sure then. Maybe it’s just that they haven’t updated on slate or something? Since my dartmouth slate says in progress but harvard says decision made for example (Did not get interview, so prob rejected). Got all other interviews though.

It could also be the fact that ed people pretty much have to take whatever aid Dartmouth offers them, while rd applicants can try to negotiate aid and Dartmouth wants give good enough aid packages for admitted students in order to keep them from going yo competitor schools

it seems for full pay most people have dimensions while for fin aid most people have calender which is weird bc if it has to do with being accepted or not why would it be different messages

It’s also weird to me that it’s most and not all. It feels like if it was related to FA instead of decision it would be the same for everyone in their respective categories.

I don’t think it has anything to do with aid status because there were people who applied for aid and get the dimensions messages and people who did not and got the calendar

Me too. I think it has to do with admission status, honestly. Aid just doesn’t make sense now.
yeah you would be the minority for full pay same like how dimensions would be the minority for fin aid and if we assumed that the minorities get accepted why would it be different messages as the minority
woudl it not make sense to have the same message indicate acceptance

Yeah seems strange which is what’s led me to think it’s overall minority not FA status based minority.
