but its 50/50 pretty much
yeah lol
Dartmouth says itâs need blind, but we donât know truly. Could be in seperate piles for pay/aid ? And then mark accordingly with admits, and they forgot to patch this. But again, idk. Even though I got UCLA/Berkeley/USC, I got rejected JHU. So I wouldnât say I am going to be admitted for sure.
That doesnât sound very likely, but even if it was true, why would it be opposite for FA and full pay?
thats the million dollar question
Since Dartmouth has an 8 billion dollar endowment and a plethora of extremely wealthy alumni thered be no reason for them not to be need blind
Yeah, although the percentage full-pay stays very consistent year-to-year, my understanding of how need-blind works is that they donât consider need on an individual basis but do consider the need in terms of the overall profile of their class. If it were truly completely need blind, weâd expect much bigger variation in percent full-pay vs. need year-to-year.
canât really go off of assumptions since dartmouth claims need blind we should just go with that
I do think its a good sign we have a message. I have found multiple people now without any message. And that guy who didnât have a message didnât get accepted anywhere so far btw. He has access denied. Also, this person from my school with 3.5 gpa who applied for crapshoot has access denied as well.
my slate says complete for dartmouth and in progress for harvard, i have dimensions and full pay international
Ok, so now we (probably) know that dimensions = application complete. But which combination means accepted? Hmm
what is slate?
I donât think we would. Wealthy people are much more likely to get into elite colleges due to things such as legacy, being able to afford extracurriculars, colleges counselors, and a ton of other stuff. Due to this colleges like Dartmouth will also have an overepresentation of wealthy students. I think we can see it here with the amount of full pay applicants there are
Lolll we have similar usernames
Itâs a website, slate dot org i think. I cannot access it, because someone from my school snitched and my counselor shut it down LOL. But last week, it said my dartmouth is in progress
Yeah, I donât mean to imply that theyâre explicitly looking at finances in violation of the need-blind claim, just that the percentage of legacies they choose to admit, the percentage of internationals they choose to admit, the percentage of people they choose to admit from private schools, all of those things can help them shape their budget and the overall profile of their class without explicitly violating need-blind.
Guys is it even possible Dartmouth is still in comitee. That would give them 2 days to before decisions day, and just based on here it would look like they still need to get through 50% of the class
hahahaha yesss!!
yeah I doubt they are still in committee
That is bad then. Then they will prob reject a lot of people quickly. Oh no!
