Yeah that is crazy. Thankfully there are not as many people dead, but I think the death toll is about 300 right now. They’re also lucky there wasn’t another huge tidal wave.

Yeah they said the tsunami threat has passed, so thats good.

“The word “handicap” was not even said in the vice-presidential debate so I’m not quite sure where you’re getting that from.”

Are you joking? i have the speeches right in front of me and and even BCgoUSC said so himself. This sure is a lame way to defend Cheney.

“And, primitive, if you know the true style of a debate you don’t spend time defending yourself; it is a waste of time. You spend the whole time attacking the other person. I don’t see where Edwards defended himself? Are you calling BOTH of them bad debaters?”

Ah, here comes another lame conservative response. Edwards also accused Cheney of the Halliburton scams. Now if you read Cheney’s responses, Cheney DID TRY extensively to defend himself. Cheney also said something like :
" if you want talk more about Halliburton, I would be happy discuss more of it."

Why would he defend himself regarding Halliburton and not when he was accused for his discriminatory activities? Please explain!!

“Are you calling BOTH of them bad debaters?”

Honestly, I do agree they are both bad debaters. Neither talked much about their plans for America. Both were arguing like cats and dogs. They were making accusations of each other. Through this debate, I never really got a chance to learn what each would do for the betterment of America if they won the elections.

Once upon a time, long, long ago there was a Presidential election that was too close to call. Neither the Republican presidential candidate nor the Democratic presidential candidate had enough votes to win the election. Therefore, it was decided that there should be an ice fishing contest between the two candidates to determine the final winner. There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc., but a week-long ice fishing competition seemed the (manly) way to settle things.

The candidate who catches the most fish at the end of the week wins. After a lot of back and forth discussion, it was decided that the contest would take place on a remote and cold lake in Wisconsin. There were to be no observers present and both men were to be sent out separately on this remote lake and return daily with their catch for counting and verification.

At the end of the first day, George W. returns to the headquarters and he has 10 fish.

Soon, Kerry, who has answers to everything, but no plan, returns and has zero fish.

Well, everyone assumes he is just having another bad hair day or something and hopefully, he will catch up the next day.

At the end of the 2nd day George W. comes in with 20 fish and Kerry comes in again with none.

That evening, Bill Clinton gets together secretly with Kerry and says, "I think George W. is a lowlife cheatin’ son-of-a-gun. I want you to go out tomorrow and don’t even bother with fishing. Just spy on him and see if he is cheating in any way.

The next night (after George W. comes back with 50 fish), Clinton says to Kerry, “Well, what about it, is George W. cheatin?”

“He sure is, Bill, he’s cutting holes in the ice.”

is this a joke? remember this is a debate!! if you want to forfeit, they just say so. making stupid fairytales is a waste of time.

Why do conservatives have the habbit of diverting topics of disussion? We were talking about Cheney’s accusations, but now you make up stupid fishing stories. This is truly a shame. You haven’t responded to my last message. This is like the fifth time you have diverted topics.
As for BCgoUSC, you have probably done it eight times.

If you have nothing more say in this debate, please surrender and i will leave you alone.

uc_benz, you are a true hypocrite. You said that i do not provide credible information.

From that dumb fishing story, i guess it is actually YOU who is unable to provide credible information.

In addition, no Kerry does not see things in black and white, and yea obviously there’s always a grey area,

but if Kerry was president… the terrorists would have bombed the WTC, and this is what he would have done: he would have spent days, no weeks, no months, no decades, no centuries, no millenia, comtemplating the pros and cons of declaring war on Iraq.

And meanwhile…in Iraq, people are suffering, insurgent are on the loose killing gov officials as well as innocents, and the dictatorship has already been passed through 3 generations.

Finally…Kerry makes a decision, a tentative one, but a decision. He isn’t sure it’s the right thing to do, but yea, Kerry listens to his cabinet just as he listened to his over paid consultants all of whom almost lost him the election. Anyway, subsequent to his final(ly) decision, troops are shipped off to Iraq and the war begins.

(a few months later)
But wait…Kerry has changed his mind! He now wants to withdraw the troops and has decided he wants to work out a peaceful resolution like half of the naive left radicals want (but can’t have). So this new proposed compromise of his is triedn into action.

Unfortunately, not a month after this fatal decision, Saddam has already accumulated millions from oil, killed millions of civilians, and created a mass destruction weapon 10 times more lethal than Oppenheimer’s atomic bomb.

Not surprisingly, back in America, people of all religions, races, doctrines and creed have united to mourn the now adamant failure of their president and most of all a once all powerful and thriving nation.

Spoken like a true genius.

“he would have spent days, no weeks, no months, no decades, no centuries, no millenia, comtemplating the pros and cons of declaring war on Iraq.”
It seems to me like you are just regurgitating what your party has made you believe. Firslty, you are saying this on teh basis of the republican propaganda attack on John Kerry. The fact that you don’t have any other argument besides the flip flopping one basically shows to me that you dont have much politcal knowledge or insight.
Sure, Kerry changed his mind on an issue. Bush has done so many times, and I’d prove it to you, but I won’t becuase a. you wouldn’t look at the facts and b. you’d just retort calling Kerry a bigger flip flopper.
So excuse John Kerry for looking at an issue from all different angles, before deciding and making wrong deicisions, like your president, Dubya.

"But wait…Kerry has changed his mind! He now wants to withdraw the troops and has decided he wants to work out a peaceful resolution like half of the naive left radicals want (but can’t have). So this new proposed compromise of his is triedn into action. "
Once again, more brilliance. Totally brainwashed, imo.
Yeha, lets start a war with a country that didn’t attack us, kill many innocent Iraqis civlilans, and create a new breeding ground for terrorists, and make teh middle east even more volatile. Brilliant

tabletennis, you are definitely a genius. does he even even have and facts to suuport his lame claims agaist Kerry? I dont think so.

i really admire your line of reasoning, tabletennis. You a truly a great democrat.

tabletennis, you are definitely a genius. Does seth blue even have and facts to suport his lame claims agaist Kerry? I dont think so.

i really admire your line of reasoning, tabletennis. You are truly a great democrat.

(seth blue, this is merely a debate, so dont take all this personally)

and uc_benz, i am saying this once more- please think before you speak!

what is politics beside propoganda? How do parties win support without propoganda? How do people decide what to believe without propoganda?..LOL

well this is a debate. propaganda is useless here. we use REAL knowledge of the issues in a debate. i guess you never knew that, since you are trying to justify your use of stupid propaganda.

but spreading propoganda is fun. and don’t worry, I’m not taking this personally, i’m just having fun reading all this.

John Kerry introduced Bill To Slash Defense Department Funding By $6.5 Billion.
Kerrys bill had no co-sponsors and never came to a floor vote. (S. 1580,
Introduced 2/29/96; In 1995, Voted To Freeze Defense Spending For 7 Years, Slashing Over $34 Billion From Defense. Only 27 other Senators voted with Kerry.

That was a funny joke UC_Benz

My Turn:
“You said something I didn’t say. Now shove it!”
–Teresa Heinz Kerry, telling off a reporter–

“You bet we might have.”
–Sen. John Kerry, asked if he would have gone to war against Saddam Hussein if he refused to disarm–

“I actually did vote for the $87 billion, before I voted against it.”
–Sen. John Kerry, on voting against a military funding bill for U.S. troops in Iraq–

Um, wahts wrong with that? That makes sense, especially since it was a relatively peaceful time.

My Turn:

Okay… your point?

“You bet we might have.”
–Sen. John Kerry, asked if he would have gone to war against Saddam Hussein if he refused to disarm–

I guess your comprehension isn’t so great. Hes saying that he’d consider going to war, genius,

“I actually did vote for the $87 billion, before I voted against it.”
–Sen. John Kerry, on voting against a military funding bill for U.S. troops in Iraq–
Is this flip flopping argument the only argument you have ( even tenuous as it is) against Kerry? Do you not have any others that you can substantiate? Seriously, I am sure you’re book smart and all (posting on a college message board), so why do’t you apply the same diligent method to poltics and learn ?

Hey UC_Benz
Did you see how Kerry was one of two senators to vote against the confirmation of Condoleeza Rice?
Sounds like someone was still a little mad…

Heck, I’d be bitter too if I got smashed in the election like Kerry did. Did you also know that Kerry, by his own account, violated the UCMJ, the Geneva Conventions and the U.S. Code while serving as a Navy officer, and he further stands in violation of Article three, Section three of the U.S. Constitution.

And to think that liberals supported this man? Their party must really be down and out.

Wow, I’d probably just leave the country if I violated that much stuff. It must suck to be him. He violated those and Ted Kennedy was a murderer who never got any punishment…

This just in! More hypocrisy with the Democrats!

ON MARCH 21, DEMOCRAT HARRY REID SAID WE NEED TO SAVE SOCIAL SECURITY:
“After All, There Is No More Positive Agenda Than Saving Social Security.” (USA Today)

BUT ON MARCH 23, REID SAID SOCIAL SECURITY CRISIS IS IN “THE MINDS OF REPUBLICANS”
“Today’s Report Confirms That The So-Called Social Security Crisis Exists In Only One Place: The Minds Of Republicans. In Reality, The Program Is On Solid Ground For Decades To Come.” (Reuters)
