Dating student in my class

Take this opportunity to ask someone else out. You’ve got all you eggs in one basket, so to speak. If she is gorgeous then she was a long shot anyway.

My boyfriend from college had a crush on a really beautiful girl. I was his friend at the time and was aware of what was going on. She wasn’t interested and he and I ended up getting involved in a relationship that lasted three years.

well, she’s gorgeous in my opinion, so maybe other guys wouldn’t agree. Alot of them would probably be turned off by her introverted personality anyways.

its been over a week since I sent my last message to her. Maybe she hasn’t responded because she was really busy? Should I try getting in contact with her again midway next semester?

Maybe she hasn’t responded because she was really busy? "
Or she may not be interested. Try one more email in Jan, then, if there is no response, walk away.

You might want to check to see if there’s a restraining order first.

Oh, audiophile! I second what menloparkmom said: it is possible that the girl is on a break somewhere without access to her email, so send another email in January and move on if there is no reply.

Well…you’ve ignored my advice before but…

It’s possible she’s been busy. If that’s the case, she’ll reply to your email when she has some time. If she doesn’t reply, just let it go.

When I was in college, I was never “too busy” to respond to someone to whom I was very attracted and wanted to date. Never once.

Brad, have you honestly ever been “too busy” to respond to a girl who you really wanted to date, who you really wanted to get to know? Could you ever be “too busy” to write just a few words of acknowledgment to a girl you were attracted to who contacted you? Really?

People who are “really busy” but are interested will do whatever it takes to let the person to whom they are attracted know that, while they are really busy, they are very interested, and don’t want that person to give up on them or start dating someone else. They do not just not respond because they are, you know, “really busy.”

Just watched “He’s Just Not That Into You” on TV… perhaps the OP needs to watch it.

If she wants to reply to your email, she will. If she didn’t get it yet, she’ll get it in January.

If she’s “too busy” to reply, she’s not interested.

Consider the notion that the girl herself maybe concerned about inappropriate relationships; I’m sure a young premed wouldn’t want to risk anything so early in her career…
