What is the different to enroll in fall quarter and in winter quarter? Would it be any different? Will there be orientation for new students in winter quarter?

There is no difference. In junior colleges people enroll year-round. Orientation is minimal but all new students take an orientation ‘class’ to familiarize themselves with the school, requirements, transfers etc. It is on their website.

From reading the De Anza course catalog, orientation is a half unit class during the summer quarter. You don’t orientation though, per se.

is there any recomendation which extracurriculer should i take?

What do u mean by half unit class? Yes i haven’t enrolled which is why i want to collect as many info as i can from people who have experienced it.

My friend said that if I enroll in winter quarter, the gap will be too long when i want to enroll to the university because university enrollment date is on April or July. Is it?

There are many universities, many colleges, and many dates. You need to study the websites of the schools you are interested in: all this information is public and announced ahead of time. If you are concerned that you will be a semester behind by starting in the winter as opposed to in the fall, you can always take extra classes over the summer.

^^ Yes, that’s the solution.
If I can’t go to a 4 year public university in the US due to financial reasons, I’ll probably enroll during winter at a CC and take a full load of summer classes the first year.

So if I enroll in winter quarter, in order not to waste any time so I can enroll in fall to uni, I have to work hard in the summer?
What’s the different between university and college. I have been searching and asking but so far i just have financial as the main difference.
