DE grade

I’m taking English comp 1 this semester and I finishe the class with a 98 average. It is counted as ap in grade weighting, and an a is weighted as 5.0 but an a+ is weighted as 5.3. The college only grades up to an A, but based on the average I would have an a+ by the high school. Do you think the high school will treat it as an A+? I don’t want to lose the higher score if I earned it.

Will the grade that you get on your transcript look like “98” or look like “A”?

Either way I think that you are in good shape. University admissions folks will know what is the best that you possibly could have done. Also, the weighted GPA as shown on a high school transcript is calculated so differently by different high schools that it is essentially useless for comparison between students from different high schools. Admissions therefore has to look at your actual grades.

Also, in life there is no point in worrying about something that you can’t change. You did very well in this class. Be happy and move on.

That sounds like a school specific policy so try checking with your guidance counselor.

Agreed…don’t be sidetracked by things you can’t change. You will make yourself nuts if you focus on trivia. Neither yes but or what if are useful thoughts.
