<p>He gave a very entertaining presentation at the Days on the Lawn (for accepted students) in 2011.</p>
<p>Alan Groves is the PERFECT dean of students for UVa. He just gets it!</p>
<p>Circa 1981, I remember Dean of Students Canerveri tapping kegs at the official UVa sponsored Easters Party on Lambeth Field. That was back when the drinking age for beer in Va. was 18. (He then led the unpopular move to shut down Easters in 1983).</p>
<p>I asked my second year son about Easters. He said he never heard of it.</p>
<p>Yes, Dean Canerveri was amazing. I’m glad that UVa continues to find such capable individuals.</p>
