Dean J,
I went to my homepage to post my mid term grades in early February.
In the optional box there where one can explain grades or whatever, I wrote about my EC’s for the first half of senior year. Also, in terms of awards I have received, I mentioned an academic scholarship (not $ amount) and Honors program recognition that I received from my state college. I’m OOS for UVA.
Did I shoot myself in the foot by doing that? Maybe that was pretty dumb on my part to mention. But they are awards so to speak, that I’m proud of. I just don’t know how the adcom looks at that and now I wish I had just stuck to my grades.
No likely letter yet.

You did not hurt your application at all.

It is silly to expect a likely letter. As I’ve posted many times already, a small fraction of applicants will get the. The vast majority will not hear from us until the decision letter arrives.

Thanks Dean J! You are so cool! I’ll stop worrying about the likely letter.
