Dec 1st CR Version II (Brain functions, photography, father artist...) Discussion

@satacer2400 yeah I got a bunch of D’s I remember that

I also felt that ‘not only because… but also because’ was redundant. However, there is no clear answer on this topic. I opted for the shorter response because the longer one didn’t utilize a comma, when it probably should have.

The answer was that sudoku decreased the audience of crossword. I remember because it said that sudoku piqued crossword players

@hotel i agree

watd u get for the one about the book being adapted to a movie

to be adapted

What did you guys get for the documentary photographer analogy. The question was that her actions can be compared to?

I said that its a writer using her techniques for movies.
It might be the musician playing two instruments equally

It might be the musician playing two instruments equally

@Shizznits I put a famous horror screen writer who has just started writing books for children

for the crossword, it’s definitely about time. the thing said like “they only have time for one, and its between a crossword and a number puzzle” explicitly saying that it takes more time to do a crossword than a sudoku

i said it was a horror writer writing a children’s books since they are polar topics just like taking portraits of the rich and the poor

I put horror to kids books too.
The passage said “[the woman] went from portraying poor people one way to portraying them like rich people, whcih shocked a lot of people.” (paraphrased ofc)
Well if a horror story writer goes to drawing kids books… thats going to shock a lot of people too when tehy see monsters on kids books

“they only have time for one, and its between a crossword and a number puzzle”
I only have time to do math or writing… which one takes longer to do? You dont know… thats the point. The POINT is not which one TAKES longer, but that i would have to SACRIFICE one in place of another becasue of the time constraint

yeah i put the horror one for the photography girl

28 spot the error = no error, yes?

I know this thread is for math, but what did everyone get for number 16 and 14 on the last math section. 16 was the one about celsius and farenheit conversions. and 14 was one where I think I made a venn diagram for 22 being shared but guessed 64 (D) as answer. 88 [or 86?] was choice E

Yes, no error.

@Miami the sacrifice is an inference you’re making, while the time is explicitly stated in the passage.

Definitely not. She went back to her signature style, which was stated verbatim in the analogy. She started doing it another way but then changed back to her more masterful style.

last math question on grid in, is it m=51?
math question in section 7 about cartons / barrels, total weight = 2,000 kg?

Yeah it is… what did you get for number 14 and 16 on the last math section?
