S25, finally committed to UCB, over USC, where S22 is a rising senior. Primarily, because of reduced National Merit scholarship from USC and options at Berkeley, CNR (offering a minor in Haas and SPUR), US News program ranking, more possibilities of internships and potential job offers than the Socal area.
My daughter will be attending SUNY Cortland! She’s a diver and had relationships with several DI schools and multiple offers, but she chose DIII Cortland and we’re thrilled! It’s the best fit academically, athletically, socially, vibe and location-wise. Her major is currently Criminology, but she may change to Sports Medicine or Sports Management or Coaching…she’s not really sure but we are really excited for her!
D has happily committed to William & Mary. We thought it would be a tough decision, but after the day for accepted students/Monroe scholars weekend, the answer was clear. Best wishes to all!
D25 will be attending Susquehanna University. She had narrowed down her choices based on cost and fit with the music department to 2 schools. At admitted student day she said she only likes the music department at the other school but liked everything about Susquehanna. Go Riverhawks!
D25 chose St. Olaf! (final runners up were Santa Clara (Honors), William & Mary (Monroe scholar), Bryn Mawr, and UNC-Chapel Hill.) She went with her gut and I definitely think it was the right choice.
It feels like the incoming class of 2029 at St. Olaf will be 50% Minnesotans and 50% CC families.
