rodney: stop being bitter lol. i realize your frustration, but 2 things to realize: 1)Michigan’s GPA scale does not take into consideration +/-. Therefore, a B+ counts for 3 points, as does a B, and a B-. An A+ in a weighted OR non-weighted class is the same as an A or A-, and equals 4 points. That is how they calculate their GPA (10th and 11th grade only as well).

2) as far as the amount of time, for all you know, they might have only read it 2 weeks ago. they can’t do everyone the first week, and perhaps yours got stuck in a pile somewhere or something so they didnt get around to it until later.

good luck, you’ll end up somewhere great!

senluck: a perfect example to all those doubters out there that essays DO IN FACT MATTER, though i’m still very surprised she got in. good for her though, shows she put time into the app.

Don’t stress about whether you got a letter/online decision or not. There are still a few more days until the ER deadline, and they’ve had a lot of applications. As for me, I got in a few days ago. (610 math 740 cr 720 writing, 10 APs by the end of high school, captain of varsity soccer team for three years, vice president of student council, biracial - just to give you guys hope, since my stats are not great, number wise).

Dont stress it you all… I have another friend who just got in with a 3.7 and 22 … dont even ask me how. Looking at your stats I cant see why UM havent accepted you already, you still have about a week. Noone from my school has been accepted/waitlisted/deffered/ rejected we called to ask why and the said that they were going to read all my school’s apps together (strange)…But either way I wish you all the best of luck!

noelle08: We also just found out that our entire NJ school was not read until earlier this past week ( and were read all together)… yea, a little odd…Hang in there… you’ll be fine…
