haha i was kinda confused because i thought you were already a freshman in these colleges or something. hahah i was like DANGNNGNG 4 colleges at a time what theeeee. haha okay all these lame decisions are killing my brain cells.

BruinsJEW, hats off to you for being able to come this far despite those health barriers. I hope UCLA will accept you and give you the recognition that you very much deserve. Best of luck.

daughter is accepted, Muir (1st choice), Environmental Systems- Env. Policy

4.1 ish UC GPA
29 ACT
we feel very fortunate
she has worked hard and had some challenges too; obviously it seems to take some luck
sorry to those who are disappointed, but maybe better things are in store for you?
good luck to all class of 2011-ers

If i have a 4.2 UC gpa, but a 1930 SAT, what do you think my chances are for UCLA? I got rejected from UCSD, which i was SHOCKED by, but a lot of people say that they know people that got rejected from UCSD and accepted into UCLA. What do you think?

rdviper1, you have a good chance at LA. i suppose SD is looker for different things ( i have no clue what but- yeah) their decisions are seemingly. pretty. random. (sd not la)

I got into UCSD but a lot of friends with similar stats didn’t. Seems like the UCs are very random this year. I only applied to four UCs: UCSC, UCSD, UCB and UCLA… but friends who applied to Irvine/Davis/SB/Riverside didn’t get into all. A lot of them got into two of the four really randomly. Do you think the UCs talk to each other about that? Just curious…

well everyone here has said that they dont talk to each other. butttt with this years decisions, haha maybe the UCs are just keeping a very big secret from us :(

Millie_T: after reading other posts, I saw the UC’s do not converse at all during their admissions process. Getting accepted/rejected into one UC does not affect the decision of another UC because they don’t know or talk with each other at all. Hope that helps

just wondering what does the congrats letter look like (meaning the one they send you) cause iam having doubts if i got in maybe its just shock or confusion. can someone tell me please!

Accepted-I’d rather go to Cal or UCLA, but still waitin on those…got into USC too but cant afford it

SAT-2210
UW GPA-3.8, UC GPA-3.9
SAT 2’s-720 Lit, 710 U.S. History

Honor Roll, National Honor Roll, a couple others, nothing huge
College: Roosevelt

“just curious, why are u confident that you will get into UCLA/UCB with a 1680?”

Yeah, I probably shouldn’t have been so confident about getting into UCLA and UC Berkeley with my 1680 SAT and 560, 600 SAT 2.

Whatever, I got into both anyway so I wasn’t wrong. Berkeley gave me some sort of Extension program thing so I have to go there in Spring 08 if I decide to go there.

Accepted, with chancellor’s…still in disbelief…
Major: Psychology
i feel so bad now…it doesn’t seem like anyone got accepted with lower stats than me, and a bunch of people with much higher qualifications got rejected…
Weighted UC GPA: 3.57
Unweighted (not that it matters): 3.17
ACT: 32
SAT II: math - 800, chem - 780
Low income family, pretty good essays, no ECs other than tennis team junior year and over 200 hours of community service bunched together in july-october 2006…I go to a very competitive high school and rank in probably the 50th percentile…Only 4 APs total too.
