according to the honors program assistant director who is my friends cousin. the online decisions will be released (in all likelihood) saturday january 30th

if its not until saturday then why is the “check your admissions decision online” page leading you somewhere else now?

Sounds like they do not release the online info until after decisions have been mailed. Maybe they are in the process of mailing decision letters this week, and will post online Saturday (when the office has closed - gives time for people to digest decisions before calling admissions).

I was told at work that they were supposed to go out this past weekend, but now the target date is next weekend.

somebodynew…I have to say that whomever keeps telling you stuff isn’t very reliable!

“I see that inactive message. Remember someone’s neighbor who works in admissions said the decisions were going to go out today? So, maybe that was actually true. I guess we’ll find out.”

yeah, that was me. she said today they start mailing. But nothing about online decisions…

Fissure: I thought that’s what you meant – “mailing”. Oh well. I guess they are mailing before posting this year.

From the “Decision” page:

“This site is currently inactive. You will be able to check your decision and confirm your enrollment after freshman admission decisions have been mailed for the Fall 2010 semester. Please check here again at the end of January.”

Clear indication to me when decisions will be released: later this week!

I called admissions- Saturday, January 30th is the date!

Thank you.

My DD called admissions today and was told they are both mailing out decisions and making online access available this Saturday…

Almost there!

Wife and DS visited an Admissions Officer yesterday and were told (without asking and as they were walking out of the office), “Decisions will be up Saturday January 30th”.

10 will get you 20 that on Friday the on-line will be up with results, that is if they follow the past yrs. I say this because if they expect to have them in you mailboxes by Saturday, than the results are in and the IT dept does not work on Saturday. Obviously, they can have it set that the results will be on an automatic time release too!

NOW the important thing, many times there will be stragglers who do not get their page up. DO NOT FREAK, all this means is they have not gotten to you YET! It will come up.

Anyone have any information on when graduate decisions might be mailed out for priority deadline (Dec 1st) applicants?

ARGH!!!

This feels like I’m waiting for my water to break even though I KNOW a C-section is scheduled for Saturday.

:p

LOL, DB, great analogy!
(remember your deep breathing techniques)

Also…DO NOT FREAK if you find the UMD system is locked up or otherwise funky once the notifications are posted. Based on the number of crazed UMD-applicants (as seen by this thread!), it would not be unusual to encounter some system “issues”…just like CC has historically had problems on the day that the Ivy’s post their decision all on the same day.

Haha, DB, I like your analogy…

Yes, I’m replying to my own post.

For all of you graduate applicants who applied to the Fall criminology/crim justice program, I received notice from the crim department today that decisions should be made not later than late February/early March.

Too bad, you have another month to wonder… Good luck!!

To aehelms:

I’m doing the criminology major and i didnt understand when you said:

"I received notice from the crim department today that decisions should be made not later than late February/early March. "

Does that mean that the acceptance/rejection into the LEP wont come until Febuary/early March or that your letter into the actual unviersity wont come until then?

and if its just for the LEP whys it so late?
