Hmmm…while Hotchkiss is in my heart because of its view of the lake and its campus built around a golf course, I do want to clarify something you posted. Yes - GolfDaddy and I literally had tears when Kiddo decided on another school. You could say were were “tee’d off”.
You said that Hotchkiss has “the newest looking facilities”. While I would agree with you a couple of years ago - because the Hotchkiss facilities are nice, there is a tee box outside the door. and I like rubbing that mountain lion in the lobby. Things have changed up in the past year, however.
In October of 2018, Deerfield opened its new + 60$ million Athletic Center and Field House. It is amazing! When you visit DA, you will see that the Athletic Center is the most modern looking building on campus. There are also a couple of newer dorms on campus - but you may not recognize them as such. Because Deerfield is very mindful of keeping its dorms consistent with the historic architecture of the town, some dorms that are relatively new and modern on the inside look “old & traditional” from the outside. Check out the video of the new portion of the athletic center (above) - indoor field, volleyball training center, indoor crew tank, golf simulator room, indoor track, etc. The video does not show the beautiful aquatics center or the other areas of this expansive facility. Of the three schools you mentioned, its my honest opinion that Deerfield may just be a tad more sports oriented than Hotchkiss.
