Deferred Early Action

Hi, I was just curious to hear about who else had gotten “deferred” to UMass Amherst. UMass was and still is my top choice school. I applied October 2, and heard back last week. I’ve been deferred to regular decision! Although I was pretty bummed, I still got into a handful of other great schools. If you are in a similar situation please share! Also share your stats!

GPA: 3.7 weighted/ 3.5 unweighted
SAT (super score): 1710
Various honors classes and one AP class.

Senior year first semester GPA is a 4.0 (weighted)

Part of the community service club, various community service acts, various jobs, various extracurricular programs at colleges, dance team captain, great essay (or so I thought)!

Deferred as well, similar stats. 3.5 (my hs doesn’t do weighted). All honors, one AP (statistics) 1800 SAT.

Bryant, Seton Hall, URI, UVM, URI, Assumption, Sacred Heart - business major

@capedorysailor I applied as a Public Health major which is not a selective major at UMass. Other schools I got into: UTampa, UVM, URI, UNH, Saint Leo University (honors program, Suffolk University (Honors program)
