I’m not sure Clemson is doing the top 10. Actually I’m pretty sure they did not. I know someone like number 8 in the class and was admitted to usc under that top 10 but waited to hear from Clemson for EA
This is the first year that USC is doing the auto admit.
I’m not sure if they have certain percentages they need to meet. I think this is the first year for U of SC automatically admitting the top 10%…this is for the main campus; the others like USC upstate, and Beaufort are auto admits for the top 20%.
I can’t find anything stating Clemson is participating in this.
Those numbers are fascinating! The OOS acceptance rate is SO much lower than in state. Should have moved. jk.
Clemson is required to be 51% in state students.
And it seems that Clemson trys to go way beyond that. That’s why OOS is so low.
OOS is still at 49% enrolled last year. They accepted 36% of OOS out of all OOS apps or 30% OOS acceptances out of all applications (60,122) but overall enrollment by OOS students hits 49%
I didn’t see that part. Thanks. Still think they are trying to get a bit lower percent of OOS to stay away from going over. What is the consequence if a university goes over the OOS cap by accident, if any?
Both buttons are gone here!
Still have both buttons
The Withdrawal and Print Decision (from EA).
Sometime bw 8am and 10:45am lol
Are you OOS or in? My dtr is OOS, Clemson being a huge reach.
I think they can be fined if they go over. That is what someone said over on one of the NC threads. I don’t know if it is the same in SC but would assume if they are required to have a certain percentage and they don’t meet it or go over the amount for OOS and fall under for instate that they either get fined or maybe get some funding pulled for the following year.
My daughter is OOS (NC) and Clemson might be a reach. Can’t tell these days. She is an excellent student but was told not to submit SAT since it came slightly under 50th percentile. Not expecting an acceptance but who knows.
She is light years ahead of my son with respect to school, GPA, etc. but my son was accepted to UNC last year and daughter rejected (waitlisted actually) at UNC this year.
This is GOOD !!!
Does clemson tend to take a lot from their waitlist each year?
Both buttons gone here too. Maybe rolling out for everyone now?
I posted stats from the Common Data Set…it varies each year. I’ll scroll up to find.
I’ve got mine still. But earlier is better to lose!
It’s literally the only reason I keep checking is for you guys from December !! Good luck
