@U-MFAN I only got an email that requested more information. As far as I know, I’ve never had a View Decision link. I haven’t heard back about my admissions decision yet. Have you?
@ramona123 That is the same for me. I only got an email requesting more information but no “view decision” link on WA. I haven’t heard anything yet. Not sure what it means?
EA applicant>Deferred>Accepted on 3/10 @ 4:30PM EST! I was on my way home from a campus visit @ UW-Madison; I know the irony!!
Good luck to all!
Anyone hear back from kinesiology yet??
@alexacool10 I’d be attending the honors college at SVSU, and it has a pretty bad reputation around here haha. I’d much rather attend EMU than SVSU, but hey, it’s free
According to UMich admissions, they’re going to accept more deferred students by Early April. (This may not be news for some of you, but I was worried that those of us who haven’t heard back would be rejected)
They said April all along. Congrats to those who have heard early. For those of us still waiting they haven’t let us down…they are sticking to what they wrote originally so let’s all hang in there together. We’ve made it this far…we can do it… /
I got your back…so hang in there and if you need to lean or vent…cc will always be here just don’t give up and don’t lose hope! [-O<
Hey …I’m also gonna tell you that they don’t all come out at midnight…look at the announcements…3:23pm on the 10th…so cc is not everything…we will all get answers soon. Just remember that!
Just know that probably like 80% of us will be waitlisted in April.
Advise for people who are stressing out: go to MIT thread on 3.14 day, it’s super fun to watch.
Maybe all those who get in to MIT will pull from Mich and that’s what MICH has been waiting for!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH…or is it they are waiting to see who pulls after Northwestern and ND admits get their answers in the next few days??? I think after all this I’m going to change my major to Theatre and do a documentary on the College Admission Process…what do you all think? B-)
Yeah it’s official…I’m losing it…I know you don’t have to say it…
To be honest, most people that do get into MIT and more prestigious university tend not to pull admissions. I would be surprised if any percent over 25% went through the effort of pulling their UofM application. And I am speculating off of my friends that are Harvard and other Ivy league bound. Many of them just “want to see if they can get and with what amount of money.” Kind of jerkish, but the applicant paid the $75 fee to hear a result, not end up pulling their application. A small, maybe (overestimated) 1500, would pull their application. That is out their 55,000 application poll.
I don’t think UofM is banking on people to pull their application to improve their yield. If they really cared about yield, they would accept those of us that were EA, deferred, and sent a LOI. I would bet 80-90% would accept compared to the 10-30% from “higher tier” students. This might just be me wanting any and every advantage though.
They are trying to get the highest tier student with the highest yield. That is a really tricky game they are playing. Granted, they are allowed to do anything they want and I assume they have a plan for that.
Did anyone figure out what it means if you never got a “view decision link” and you only got an email?
75$application fee+ sending multiple ACT, SAT, and SATII scores+filling CSS and IDOC>= $ 150
It makes me feel bad for spending this amount of money probably for a rejection
I mean, reading this form gave me a bright side.
If i get rejected i’m going to go to a great, Big 10 School (Purdue Engineering) and I only paid $12 to send my SAT score to Umich (I applied to UMFlint, which waived my UMAA fee, but UMFlint waived my fee for them due to my GPA).
nonetheless, I really hope we hear good news. Being in-state will kill me if i don’t get into UMich. I wish the best of luck to all of you
There is no rhyme or reason and don’t let people tell you otherwise. Some get email, some get missing link others get none of the above and still got an answer. Sorry to bust your bubble but none of us have a crystal ball…truly wish we did! Yeah I hear ya @UofMichigan1999 if they did accept more EA it would just tell future generations if you want in…get it in early and now I’m thinking it was not the case they just like touting the #'s only to have all of us who are dying to get in a final “yes” in April but to their defense they always said April…we all just are an impatient generation!
@renwa how do you know? From previous threads the last wave for EA seems to be mostly rejections and waitlists
This is seriously killing me! I just want to know already :,(. Good luck everyone. I’ll pray for us all to get decisions asap
my view decision link disappeared but its a monday?
