My OS son also had his portal options change last week, but has not received any decision yet. Undeclared major.
My In State daughter’s portal updated today, she was accepted into the Fashion Merchandising major, as well as the Honor’s program. She was also offered a 5K/yr trustees scholarship, more than we thought she would get. It took 15 weeks for her decision.

Happy Day! After 14 weeks of waiting this morning we checked our D’s application status and there were the words “Admitted as Fashion Merchandising Major.” It’s really nice to say that after a lot of hard work my D is going to the school she really wants. Good luck to all of you who continue to wait.

@Mamaruzz congratulations to your daughter!! @SALSRL , no news yet? It is unbelievable that a Delaware student with good qualifications would be left hanging this long. UD waited too long for my daughter, she has fallen in love with Temple and now has no desire to attend UD.
Just tried to log onto the UDel portal and it is saying “Temporarily unavailable”. Hoping this is good news that they are posting more decisions… Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting!
I completed my application first week of December. Regular admissions. Accepted into the Health Sciences college with athletic training interest. 28 ACT and don’t do GPAs or ranks. Took five AP courses. High interest in attending. still waiting to hear back from some other schools.
Got into political science with a 2.3 gpa and1800 SAT (1320 CR+M)

We are still hear & WAITING this is crazy as application was received and completed on 11/2 according to portal.
If UDEL can’t decide we will make the decision to move on. Luckily we have other fantastic big 10 east options and this was not his first choice. We are OOS and not asking for any financial aid. Oh, did I mention we are

@njmamapapa Delaware has handled this terribly - why don’t you call them and see what the status is?
@salsrl i did call 2 weeks ago thats when i was told that they had 26,000 apps to review being short staffed seems to be the least of their problems. Of course we are dissapointed especially cause kids in our town have heard already. In a perfect world it would have been nice if both kids could go to same college but that was wishful thinking. Decision need to be made soon going back to see some campuses etc…has your portal changed??
@njmamapapa I’m a mom - my kids are already into college, but I know two others waiting for Delaware. I just can’t believe that for three years in a row, Delaware can’t manage their admissions process. They seem like they are the worst of all the colleges. Maybe have your teen call or email their admission officer- sometimes a student can get further than a parent. But a poorly run admissions department doesn’t mean the school is bad - so I don’t know if you should simply write them off due to frustration. Here’s another idea - write the Dean of Admissions a letter explaining your experience, the fact that you and your husband attended, your older child is there, and how emotionally draining this experience has been. Maybe he’ll expedite the process.
@njmamapapa We are still waiting too!..Totally frustrating especially seeing others with lower or similar stats and the same major being admitted. Thinking it is time to move on. Unfortunate that they will lose some quality students…Let me know if you hear anything!
