Denied a Prom Ticket

So, today I went to the Finance Office at lunch to buy prom tickets. I waited in line, took longer than I thought it would. I was among the last the last in line. So, just as it got to me, the bell rang, and didn’t want to be late for my physics exam I had the next period. I asked the guy to hurry up, politely. Well, he looks at me with a face, and then he tells me that they’re sold out. I’m like,? Yeah, he actually thinks I’m that stupid.

Of course they’re sold out…

Tickets are on sale now:
3/24-3/28: $50
3/31-4/04: $55
4/14-4/18: $60
4/21-5/09: $65
5/12-5/16: $70

I gave him a few choice words (won’t mention them here cuz I’d be banned if I were), and I stomped out and ran to my physics class.

So you know what? If they don’t want my money, then I just won’t go to prom.

But I was thinking, should I report this or something? I don’t know, am I making too much out of this?

Someone please give me some advice… I felt so awkward and nervous just buying prom tickets, because everybody knows me as nerdy and stuff, and this really ****es me off that something like this had to happen.

If he was from a student government group or something, then he could probably get in trouble. It would be trickier if he was just some random guy, though not impossible if you really want to pursue this.

I would be mad too. Stuff like that always gets me angry.

I know! This sucks…

^ aww i’m sorry. can’t you get someone to go with you? get a really tall, scary bloke with huge muscles who will beat the crap out of the jerk if he refuses to sell you the tickets.

is this your senior prom??

Come earlier next time, and don’t ask him to hurry up (it doesn’t matter how politely you do it, it’s still rude). He gave his free time to sell tickets for your prom and he has no reason to work even faster just because you want to buy your tickets that particular day. You now have until April 4th to purchase them for the same price. Next time, wait in line patiently like everyone else, and if the bell rings, so be it. Either wait or go to class. You would have been late by what, 20 seconds? The same amount of time it took for him to tell you they were out? I would have done the same thing if I were him. However, if he refuses to sell them to you next time, report him because that’s just wrong. Sorry if I came across as rude, but this happened to me this weekend at work. A family asked me to hurry up with their order because they were late for the airport. Now, I don’t work slow, and they were already being incredibly rude, so I stopped what I was doing, looked him right in the eye and said, “Sir, do you see anyone else working here? Do you see me doing anything besides preparing your order? Am I taking an unnecessarily long time to complete your order? Is it my problem that you’re late for the airport? Are you aware that the airport also offers fast food, directly in the terminal? I can guarantee that you will be stuck in traffic for at least 40 minutes before even getting to the airport, so me not moving at the speed of light will not affect the time it takes for you to get there. If you are that pressed for time, I suggest you leave”. He gave me a dirty look and stomped around while I made his food. (Then they had the time to come back and complain that the prices are too high). Just be nice!! I agree two wrongs don’t make a right, but you need to realize that you are at fault here.

dont be a procrastinator, buy your ticket early. haha no but seriously, im sorry. try to buy someones ticket?

you should report him and try to get another ticket

pwned
report his sorry a**

smack him across the face, grab the tickets, and distribute them randomly throughout the school.

um jk.
