<p>I was able to switch from James Hugh’s Math 131 into Diana Morris’ Math 131. Woot! Only took 9 hours, lol. The problem is the dependent course though. The dependent course listed under Morris is at 8:00 AM on Tuesday’s. I’d rather have the 5:00-5:50 math discussion on Tuesdays especially considering I already have a Chem Lab Lecture at 4:00-4:50 on the same day. Am I allowed to take whatever Math Discussion I want? Thanks a lot.</p>
<p>unless it’s the same professor, the answer would be no. Discussion sections are generally led by the TA that works with that specific professor (or in some cases the professor will also run the discussion).</p>
<p>With math 131 you have to stay with whatever section is assigned. Just think: MOST people would like a 5pm discussion instead of an 8am, the prof can’t switch them all just for kicks.</p>
