so, i’m not muscular or tall or funny enough to attract any girl. but, if this continues, i think i will be compelled to resort to extreme tactics: here’s my plan:

i will starve myself and make myself look more wretched than i’m already am (actually i will fast and pray for several weeks: nothing is more laudable and brave than that!!!); i will not shave; i will not smile; i will always look down in humility; and i will stumble around…surely a girl of pure heart will take notice and pity me. and when she DOES take notice of me, i will contrive a brilliant dazzling story of me being in the orphanage, living in perpetual loneliness and my constant illness and heartaches from negligence…then she will feel MORE pity; and i shalt treat her well…like any englishman in bronte’s novels.

i know it’s really pathetic, but i must get a girlfriend (even if she will pity and despise and think me weak) before my friend ever does. if i proved to be a genius and a wonderful artist and contriver of things; i must also prove to be capable of attracting girls.

Hit the gym…get some bulk/definition, you don’t have to be huge, just look cut, girls secretly love that. It boosts your confidence too. No pain, no gain. Fix your appearance first…then just be yourself you should have a GF in no time.

and salmon you sound like a insecure little girl
btw i also played football but im not braggin about it
and i hope that your post was a joke because it sounds like one

Option 1 is the best, but to make it work you really have to be naturally charming, its a hard thing to fake (I know, I’ve tried). The good thing about it is that it’s the best for getting the more selective girls who you might be able to have a serious relationship with.

Option 2 will get you attractive girls but face it, they’re probably sluts. As any guy will tell you this is no problem if you’re looking for a 1 night deal, but if you’re the relationship kind of guy, this won’t pay off like you would think.

Option 3 is a lot like option 2, but there’s no guarantee that the girl you’re with is gonna be a hotty.

Disclaimer: These opinions come from my very limited views of male-female relationships observed in my high school. In no way am I 100% certain that this is how it actually works. In fact, you probably shouldn’t listen to me at all.

(removed vulgarity–Mod MWFN) Don’t say that your not funny, or attractive or all that because if you think that eay it will become that way… Girls like to be teased, but not in a harsh way. e.g. Lets say your’e at a party or something and you see this girl, she’s not wearing muchand you thinks shes cute. Instead of saying " Hi, um you look pretty can I sit with you… please". Say, " Hey girl, that’s a nice dress, where’s the rest of it? ;)" I’m sorry to say this but, girls are NOT going to take pity on you, instead they will fear you. So stop reading, get cleaned up, and jsut go outside and talk to women, or people for that matter. Even if it’s a chick you don’t like, it’s still good practice, and you can get the idea. Charms and Confidence and all that ****, is definitely what comes into play here, and looks don’t hurt but, their not all that important… But if this is the kind of plan you had in the first place, I think you need some other help, seriously… Good Luck MAn!

You are asking for a fictional character to be your girlfriend. I didn’t even read your post. Just knowing you and your obsession with romantic literature.

Get into the gym, even if you feel intimidated and weak

Eat right and keep up your hygiene

Take dance classes, any sort of dance classes. No woman is turned off by a guy who can dance, most of them love it.

Also, most of the advice in this thread is pretty good.

never look to any great thinker for advice on women, or any classics author for some sort of contrived romantic ideal.

Why? Because their inspiration was their complete inability to get laid.

Listen to Cam’ron…his self-centered narcissism, arrogance, emotional detachment, and general unwillingness to supplicate females makes him quite the alpha-dog player.

Romance died in the 1800s. Hopeless romantics get played in 2007

Also, I should add you CAN be an intellectual alpha. Unfortunately, intelligence on its own will not attract women. You have to accomplish things and gain status/prestige. You seem to have an affinity for poetry and prose-why not try to get some of your work published? Become the envy of others within some sort of literary circle, and then let your arrogance take over. People will talk smack about you, but girls will be attracted to you IF you approach them in a suave manner.

Just get some confidence and Humor, and you are set. Those are key in getting any girl. You can try a “Cocky Humor” personality…its nicer and better than the Jerk one. it works alot. Oh yeah, stop feeling sorry for yourself and get some self-esteem :p

Oh yeah, about heading to the gym…Just go to the gym so you gain some muscle tone and it gives you some self-confident as well. Just dont be one of those huge guys who go to the gym all the time… don’t start feeling that you have to be super big to get girls. You might start thinking because I’m not strong enough for that girl…then I shouldn’t talk to her. Then you start going to gym more and more…becoming one of those huge loser…

Appearance doesn’t really matter much. Just have to be clean. I have seen ugly/fat guys score with hot girls all the time

Agreed with that dude who said girls wont pity you just cuz you are becoming weak…

the thing is…i just can’t stand being normal. i HATE being ordinary: talking about meaningless stuff, laughing at lame jokes, etc. i want to be EXCEPTIONAL. i want to demonstrate something that i can be proud of. just think about it: u’re one of billions that go through the same old experiences and u will soon enough pass away and not remembered. trillions of lives have come and past going through the same old crap…but me, i yearn for something great…a heroic battle against the mean brute impersonal forces of this evil modern society…a battle that will inspire men… alright all these dreams are improbable and impractical, but AT LEAST i can be DIFFERENT from the billions by my eccentric choices

by the way, the bronte sisters, to my knowledge, were victorian (which is opposite of romantic era in its super-repressions) novelists. and also, i’m not obsessed with these girly novels. my knowedge in art and classical history FAR outbalances literature in general. not a heavy reader.
